Sportec's involvement at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show->ke228 involves the introduction of a couple of Porsche programs, one of which is for the limited edition 911 (997) GT3 RS 4.0.

We all know that Porsche->ke1 is only making 600 of these bad boys so if any of the owners have dreams of having a program done on their baby, then Sportec has all your needs spoken for.

The program, which is called the 'SP 525', comes with aerodynamic components such as a new carbon fiber bonnet that cuts down on the car's overall weight. In addition, Sportec also added windscreen viewing bars, an Sportec optical package, an optional video box, and a new set of 20" large Mono/7 wheels with central locking, wrapped in Michelin PS2 Cup tires.

Performance enhancements are also part of the SP 525 program. For this particular project, Sportec installed sports catalytic converters and an Akrapovic exhaust system, as well as reprogrammed the 911 GT3 RS 4.0's ECU unit. The result is an increase in output for the sports car's 4.0-liter engine from 500 horsepower and 339 lb/ft of torque to 525 horsepower and 354 lb/ft of torque. The increased output results in a faster 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds - an improvement from 3.9 seconds - with a top speed of 195 mph.
