The Renault Captur is slowly making its way up the ranks of desirable entry-level crossovers. It's an impressive ascent given how relatively new the Captur is. However, if you needed more proof that this crossover->ke288 is the real thing, perhaps its collaboration with outdoor sport and leisure clothing brand Helly Hansen will seal the deal.

Together, Renault->ke72 and Helly Hansen have announced a limited-edition Helly Hansen version of the Captur, blending the rugged appeal of this crossover with outdoor spirit Helly Hansen has come to be known for.

Adding to the list of "firsts" for the Captur, the Helly Hansen model is also the first Captur to receive Extended Grip, a system developed by Renault to optimize the crossover's traction performance, especially when the vehicle travels on less than ideal road surfaces.

The inclusion of Helly Hansen in this collaboration makes perfect sense for the Captur as it seeks to stamp its presence in the urban crossover market in Europe->ke139. Being associated with an esteemed brand that has been around since 1877 goes a long way in developing that much-needed credibility, especially in a segment that has no shortage of competing models.

Interested buyers of the Helly Hansen Captur will also be thrilled to know that any of the engines available in the Captur catalog can be specified for this limited edition model. So if you're eyeing this baby, look for it when it hits dealerships in a lot of European markets next month. Unfortunately, those in France, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands will have to wait. Renault won't be delivering the crossover until September.

Renault Captur Helly Hansen in detail

To set the Helly Hansen Captur apart from the rest of its brethren, Renault dressed up the crossover in a Flamme Red color finish, making it the only version of the Captur that will be offered in this body color. Complementing the fieriness of its body color, Renault also added Platine Grey front and rear skid plates to go with a set of 17-inch black diamond-effect alloy wheels and HH badging on the wings, proudly showing off the model's tie-in with the Norwegian clothing brand.

In addition to the exclusive Flamme Red color finish, the Helly Hansen Captur can also be ordered in other two-tone color finishes, including Etoilé Black with an ivory roof, Cassiopée Grey with a black roof, and Ivory with a black roof.

The interior of the Helly Hansen Captur also received its fair share of exclusive modifications, highlighted by new leather seats (standard or optional depending on market). A carbon fiber motif on the steering wheel inserts have also been added in addition to the red dashboard trim strips, chrome door sill guards, and front carpet mats.
