Exterior and Interior

Rimac Concept One is not only about sportiness, but also about elegance. The body is made from exposed carbon, that not only indicates its production technology and materials, but also help the car to keep a very low weight.

The bodyside features a unique, symmetrical appearing feature that gives the car a strong identity and clear distinction, while the duct is the abstraction of the tie, that is an original Croatian product.

The concept's interior is the work of the leather-specialists Vilner. They have developed a driver-focused interior, with the cabin tailors designed around the driver, while the high-end infotainment system keeps the driver entertained and informed about the vehicle’s systems.

Engine

Concept One uses a unique powertrain divided into the front and rear sub-system, each of them including two symmetrical motor-controller-reduction-gearbox units. This system will control each wheel independently.

This system develops a total of 1,088 HP and 2,802 lb/ft of torque and will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in 2,8 seconds, while top speed has been limited to 189 mph.

Despite this impressive performance numbers, Concept One has an autonomy of 372 miles.

Prices

The Rimac Concept One will be put into limited production in 2013. There will be only 88 units built and prices will be announced at a later date.

Competition

With its 1,088 HP, Concept One will be a serious, and more economical competitor for the now famous Bugatti Veyron. Its true top speed won't go closer to Veyron's 253 mph, but lets not forget we are talking about an electric car.

Talking about electric sports car, Audi is developing the R8 E-tron, but their model develops "only" 313 HP and sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4,8 seconds.
