The Rolls-Royce Dawn is a little over a year old but it’s already been presented in various special trims and variants. Thank Rolls-Royce’s penchant for launching special edition models. It’s nice to see then the British luxury car brand is still in fine form in that regard with the presentation of a new line of limited edition Dawns created under the “Inspired by Fashion” line.

Three unique versions of the Dawn are being offered, each with a unique color scheme that, according to the company’s design boss Giles Taylor, was carefully chosen by a team of designers from “the worlds of fashion, fine textiles, and luxury accessories.”

Most of the upgrades can be seen in the car’s interior, but there are some special designs on the body as well, highlighted by a special body paint that comes exclusive to the unique line. No matter how you look at them though, these limited edition Dawns are catered specifically to a certain clientele, which not only adds to their luxury appeal, but also emphasizes the lengths by which Rolls-Royce will go to offer their clients the exclusivity that the company is known for.

No mention was made on how many units are available under the Dawn Inspired by Fashion line or how much each is going to cost, but the company said that orders will be begin being taken starting in November 2016.

What makes the Rolls Royce Dawn Inspired by Fashion Edition special

Let’s get the similarities out of the way first, because in reality, these three versions are actually all similar with only a few notable exceptions. The most obvious similarity is the Andalucian White body paint, which all versions of the Dawn under the Inspired by Fashion Line come in. You need to only look at the photos to see how white these cars are – almost to the point of them becoming too pale. But that’s not all. The interior of the cars are also dressed similarly in Arctic White, creating that white-on-white look that’s become quite popular in the fashion world these days, hence the self-explanatory “Inspired by Fashion” label. The dashboard also received a Piano White finish, complete with aluminum particles and a bespoke clock with a silver on silver effect to it. The dash alone is a source of pride for Rolls-Royce’s reputation for attention to detail as the process of lacquering the whole dashboard alone takes up to nine days.

There are some black trims on the leather upholstery so the cabin isn’t technically drowning in white. These trims create the visible contrast and serve as a nice complement to the red silk that can be found on the front and rear door pockets. Look a little closer at this unique design element and you’ll see that the silk is adorned with patterned images of the Spirit of Ecstasy that have been set exactly at 55 degrees. Say what you will about Rolls-Royce’s penchant for over-emphasizing its iconic logo from time to time, but you can’t deny that there are reasons for that.

Now to the differences, and there are really just three of them. These are the colors of the Dawn’s fabric roof, which are Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue, and Mandarin. The same colors can be seen in the interior to highlight the uniqueness of each different version of the Dawn, most notably on the front side of the steering wheel.

That’s the extent of the changes that define the Rolls-Royce Dawn Inspired by Fashion line. Make no mistake, the end result is a thing of beauty but as somebody who once tried to dress up his car’s cabin with white leather, maintaining the cleanliness of all those white surfaces is going to be a huge challenge in it of itself.
