WRTeam has been committed to pushing the import scene to new heights since its formation in 1998. In 2004, they were named the number one NCCA team in the nation, winning Best Team Quality at HIN and other NCCA events. Excessive cleanliness and attention to detailing any piece that can be unbolted from the engine bay has set this team apart as a real hands-on contender.
Established in 1995, the team is formed by unique individuals who share a passion and interest in building award winning competition cars. Members strive for functional performance in every inch of flawless detail, all the while satisfying the mandates of being a street legal car.
Scion is Toyota’s experiment to market cars expressly to Gen-Y, the 18-34 crowd that constitutes what the company calls, "an emerging culture of new-car buyers." The plan has been the subject of much debate and op-ed wrangling (e.g., Todd Lassa’s "Perspective," Motor Trend, February 2003) centering on the advisability of targeting an audience that resents being targeted and whether a big company can successfully make something these young consumers will deem cool.
