Scion only recently unveiled the FR-S sports car - the American version of the Toyota GT 86 - and their racing arm is already unleashing the FR-S Race Car - a racing prototype developed in cooperation with GReddy. The Scion FR-S Race Car made its debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, but will be making its racing debut in the 2012 Formula DRIFT series with veteran driver, Ken Gushi, behind the wheel. The FR-S Race Car was obviously inspired by the street version, but it will be further adopted for the race track. It will get an improved aerodynamic kit, racing livery, a larger rear wing that will maintain stability at high speeds, and of course, a racing oriented interior with a roll cage that will ensure security in case of a crash. The most impressive part, however, is that the FR-S Race Car will develop an impressive 600 HP - up from the car’s standard 200 HP. .

 it’s good to know that the Americans made their own version of Toyota GT. Well I’m looking forward in having this with the next five years. Excited to see this car in an American Race.
 I am not that dazzled with the looks of this race car. For me, there more better designed cars aside from this. But I have to admit that when the design, the stickers are removed, it will look fabulous.

 The development of this race car is going to be very big! From a 200HP to 600HP, wow that is going to be huge! Anyway, I love the exquisite looks of its wheels. Fitted on how is car looks.
 I agree. This is really similar with Toyota GT 86 but this one has more exterior detailing such as stickers. I am also impressed on the engine specification of it with a 600 HP.

 600 HP? Wow! This is going to be a fast racing car, which is really suitable for the type of this Scion. I love the simplicity of its exterior look when the designs are off.
