As it is our job to keep you up to date with the whole automotive world, not just what is sold to the U.S., Seat revealed the Tribu. These are the first official images and details on the first SUV that comes from the Spanish maker. Tribu is based on the Volkswagen Tiguan and you first saw it as a concept last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
because the Tribu is based on the Tiguan, we can also expect to see the same engines including the 1.4 and 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI. The Tribu should keep the base lines of the concept. It will be first launched as a 5-doors model, but a 3-door is also a possibility.
Seat has announced that the new Tribu will go into production starting 2009. This is no surprise as it was more than sure that the Concept unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show is the preview of a future production model.
