2006 Skoda Roomster

The Roomster made its first appearance as a design study at the International Motor Show (IAA - Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) in Frankfurt in 2003. In the light of positive response of the specialist automotive media and many potential customers’ demand, a decision was taken to develop the relevant production car. After less than two and a half years, Å koda is now introducing its new Å koda Roomster to the public in Geneva.

The Roomster car concept is unique with its variable interior and a young, fresh design. As usual, the Skoda Roomster impresses with an excellent value for money, a vast luggage compartment, a lot of storage space, and a flexible Varioflex rear seat facility.

The side lines reflect dynamics while large glass panes underline ample interior spaciousness. The customers can choose their ideal option out of three petrol engines and three diesel engines combined with a manual or automatic gearbox.

The new Skoda Roomster will make its first public appearance at the International Motor Show in Geneva on 28th February 2006.

My wonder is also, like a comment posted earlier by another person, whether a 1600 automatic will satisfy the customer, especially if one lives where some hills and mountains are present.

Sorry to ask such a question, I work in Saudi Arabia but an Indian by birth and citizenship. Just happened to see ur ADD in a channel. Just curious to know whether this Skoda Roomster is scheduled to be available in India, if yes then when will that happen and what would be the approximate price range ( it would be highly apprecited if you could give me in dollars or in indian rupees converted)

hope to come this car soon in india. and hope that this car will not much expensive in its fuel economy.

I started with the Favorit, which I bought new. Then, after seven years I gave the car to my daughter and bought a New Falicia in year 2000, which I still have, and I’m ready to buy either a new Fabia or Roomster.
I did not buy the present Fabia because I want an automatic transmission and the 1400 engine is not big enough to handle driving and a continual use of the air conditioner.
The glass skylights on the Roomster is senseless in the warm Israeli climate. We’d boil in summer, which is a good part of the year. Even without the skylight my wife insists on the air conditioner even in winter.
The air conditioner: is the bigest complaint we have. It is not strong enough for our climate.
The engine must be at least 1600 cc or, preferably, an 1800cc.
These are my suggestions.
