Skoda will bring at the Frankfurt Motor Show the station wagon version of the Superb model. 4,838 mm long, 1,817 mm wide, and 1,481 mm high - the new Skoda Combi continues a tradition of more than 80 years in producing "combined cars" (hence the name "Combi").
Initially the car will be offered with a choice of three petrol and two diesel engines, all with direct fuel injection and low consumption and emissions. Diesel line-up includes: 2.0 TDI PD DPF diesel engine that generates power of 140 hp, 2.0 TDI CR DPF with 170 hp. Petrol line-up includes: 1.4 litre four-cylinder TSI engine with 125 hp, 1.8 TSI, offering power of 160 hp and 3.6 FSI V6 with 260 hp. All the engines are mated to a six-gear manual transmission or the six-gear direct shift gearbox (DSG).
Like the Superb sedan, the station wagon version can be fitted with HHC (Hill Hold Control), ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) and also TSA (Trailer Stability Assist) for use with factory-fitted towing equipment. On the interior the car can be ordered with two different 2 DIN car radios with CD/MP3 players, a touchscreen Amundsen system enabling the driver to operate all functions intuitively, a top-of-the-range touchscreen Columbus navigation system, an Aux-In socket, an MDI (Mobile Device Interface) in the Jumbo Box between the front seats to connect external storage media, and a CD changer.

In Skoda’s line-up there are currently five model (Fabia, Roomster, Octavia, Fabia and Yeti), but in the next five years the company wants to extend it to a least seven. And a five-door coupe model is one of them. It will be revealed in 2012-13 and will compete with models like Ford Focus or Opel Astra.
According to a Skoda insider: "Determination to elevate the brand and our presence in 100 markets globally means we have to widen our product footprint. But as the Roomster and Yeti show, we do not always do the obvious thing."
The new model will share the same platform with the Volkswagen Golf and will be powered the VW Group’s small-capacity normally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, plus DSG transmissions.
Next to it, Skoda also plans its own version for the Volkswagen Up city car.
Skoda revealed today the facelift version for the Octavia Scout, the third and the flagship model in the Scout line-up (next to the Roomster Scout and the Fabia Scout).
It features a redesigned radiator mask and bold headlamps, fog lights with the Corner function, a new metallic paint (Rosso Brunello).
It is powered by a choice of two engines: petrol 1.8 TSI/158 hp (EU 5) and diesel 2.0 TDI PD DPF/138 hp[ (EU 4) - combined with a six-speed mechanical transmission provide satisfactory performance levels.

Skoda revealed today the facelift version of the Octavia RS sports-tuned sedan and station wagon.
The new model features a redesigned front mask with an RS logo and bold headlamps with xenon units, wider and bolder induction aperture, fog lamps with the Corner function and LED lamps for daytime lighting, a new metallic paint (Anthracite) and 18“ Neptune wheels.
The engine line-up includes a 2.0 TS that delivers 197 hp and a 2.0 TDI CR diesel engine with 167 hp. Both models are mated to a six-speed manual twin-clutch DSG transmission.

Skoda has just revealed at the Geneva Motor Show their Fabia Sports Design Concept, a preview of a future vRS version for the successful Fabia. According to a Skoda spokesman, the future vRS will be "somewhere between the Sports Design and our S2000 rally car in looks." The production version is expected to debut in 2010.
The Sport Design Concept features a two-tone color scheme both in and outside the car, black alloy wheels, a unique front and rear bumper (complete with diffuser), a dark chrome surround for the grille and blacked out headlights.
A production version will be powered by a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline unit from the Volkswagen family. This would replace the turbo diesel mill currently in action.
Skoda added today a new model to its line-up: the Yeti SUV. The Yeti SUV is a 4.2 metre long, five-door vehicle that features an impressive front end with a ribbed grille and friendly looking headlamps.
The SUV is being offered with a choice of two petrol engines and three diesel are on offer: the entry entry unit (front wheel drive), a petrol engine with four cylinders and 1.2 litre capacity, delivers 103 hp, while the top of the line is a 2.0l TDI CR with 167 hp.
The Yeti is very well equipped for load lugging, too. The luggage compartment volume is flexible; up to 1760 litres is available by removing the rear seats. A luggage cover and net as well as lashing rings are available to further secure the load. As the Yeti is born of a brand which offers clever automobile concepts as its core competence, it is designed with a highly flexible luggage system.

When Volkswagen announced the BlueSport concept back in January, VW execs mentioned that production costs needed to be spread over multiple car brands. It was also mentioned that the €30,000 (about $38,000) VW would need to charge for its own car meant that variations should go to more up-market brands like Audi or new step-brother Porsche. Discount brands like Seat and Skoda were originally left out of the roadster lottery due to slim profit margins.
Now that may have changed. Many different sources are mentioning rumors from the Volkswagen Group that would give Seat and Skoda droptop cars. The extra production would also drop the base price for the low price brands to about €22,000. If true, this Seat may finally get a production version of the 2001 Tango concept for 2014.
Also, if Porsche can’t put enough of its own parts in the platform, it could likely bow out of the program. It would be hard for Porsche to demand a premium price for a vehicle that uses suspension bits from VW’s budget-minded Polo and Golf, with similar vehicles available from budget brands Seat and Skoda.<
Skoda revealed today the 2009 Fabia Scout, a model that will make its world debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Sales will begin in Europe this May.
The new Fabia Scout will be offered with a choice of four engines: two petrol units (1.4 litres, 86 HP, fuel consumption 6.5l/100km and 1.6 litres, 105 HP, fuel consumption 6.9l/100km – the latter will also come with a six-speed transmission) and two diesel engines (1.4 litres, 80 HP, fuel consumption 4.6l/100km and the top-class 1.9-litre engine offering 105 HP and a fuel consumption of 4.9l/100km).

Skoda launched the GreenLine version for the new Superb. The Superb GreenLine is powered by a 1.9-litre TDI PD DPF which produces 105 bhp and is capable of 55.4mpg on the combined cycle and produces only 136g/km of CO2.
The GreenLine uses clever aerodynamics and is lowered by 15mm to alter the airflow around the front end and improve fuel economy. Weight also plays a key part - the GreenLine is supplied with a tire repair kit in place of a heavy spare wheel and use low rolling resistance tires. Transmission ratios have been lengthened to improve fuel economy.

The new generation Fabia hatchback made its world debut in 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show. With both the passenger and luggage compartments sized generously, this five-door small-class vehicle is even roomier that its predecessor. The shape is very typical of the Skoda brand – it certainly guarantees the new Fabia a unique position in the market and shows clearly that the new vehicle is a member of the Škoda family.
The new generation of Fabias is again one of the foremost representatives of the small car segment. It offers plenty of room not just to the driver and front seat passenger, but also passengers in the rear. Once again, the car can also boast of a very generous luggage area.
The Fabia has grown longer (3992 mm) and taller (1498 mm), and again is one of the largest in the supermini car segment. The dynamic and confident front section of the car clearly testifies to the fact that it is part of the Škoda family and a particularly close relative of the Roomster, a model with which it shares most parts – from the original headlights all the way down to the mudguards.
A three-cylinder 1.2 HTP engine is available with power outputs of 44 kW or 51 kW and comes equipped with a main catalytic converter and two lambda sensors. The four-cylinder 1.4 16V/63 kW and 1.6 16V/77 kW engines have two catalitic converters and two lambda sensors. All engines include an on-board EOBD self-diagnostic device.
The range of diesel engines is comprised of two three-cylinder 1.4 turbo diesels with power outputs of 51 kW and 59 kW, and one four-cylinder 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW. All engines meet the emissions limits imposed by the EU 4 standard. Diesel particulate filters (DPF) are also available for both of the more powerful engines.
