We're all waiting for the new generation fortwo to arrive, but it looks like smart decided to make us wait a little bit longer. Until the new model arrives, smart ->ke83 unveiled a new special edition based on the current-generation fortwo->ke1744.

The new fortwo citybeam is distinguished by special striking body panels that buyers can ordered in light blue, silver metallic or matte anthracite, depending on the market and customer preferences. Other standard features include: titanium-colored headlamps, LED daytime driving lights and special logos in the mirror triangles.

Customers can place their orders for the new smart fortwo edition citybeam starting January 15, with the first deliveries coming in April 2014. Customers can choose between either a combustion engine or an electric motor and coupe or convertible. Prices will start from €14,490 -- $19,700 at the current exchange rates.

Theis special smart rides on a new set of three-double-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 175/55R15 rubber up front and 195/50R15 on the rear.

For the interior, smart adds an instrument panel in leather optic with crystal grey stitching, a striking two-section knee pad in black and crystal grey leather look, a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles and crystal grey stitching.

The seats are also new and are wrapped in black leather optic accentuated by crystal grey fabric inserts in the backrest and crystal grey stitching.
