On Volkswagen Golf V GTI Sportec performed an electronic update and they obtained a new car performance optimizing by reprogramming e.c.u. They updated the car to a max performance of 236HP @ 5800 RPM, max Torque of 258 lbs-ft @ 2300 RPM. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and has a top sped of 164 mph.
Sportec has one of the most modern all-wheel drive test rigs in Europe. The core feature of this is the test stand designed for 800 hp. Up to 650 hp wheel output can be decelerated using the stationary testing process (tuning mode).
Sportec has developed and installed a complex vehicle cooling system which keeps the operating temperature of the vehicles stable by means of a powerful ventilation system and various heat exchangers. In this way Sportec has managed to create the perfect overall conditions for representative performance tests as well as for precise adjustments which are indispensable for the development of superior performance tuning.
