Sports Cars are engineered to go around corners and straight lines as fast as possible. They are usually expensive, dangerous and so much fun that everybody wants one. Owning a sports car is a gratifying experience but it will cost you money and back pain as they are usually expensive to maintain and not very comfortable. But who cares as they look like supermodels at the beach.

For those of you who have been sleeping under a rock the past few weeks, it seems as if the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed , which kicks off on June 26th, is shaping up to be one hell of a spectacle. We already learned that you’ll get to run the hillclimb in a digital version of the GTI Roadster and that the Q50 Eau Rouge will clear its V-6, twin-turbocharged throat on the course too. And now we have learned that Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations — the folks responsible for giving thick-walleted customers customized Jags and Rovers — will reveal a new model during the festivities.

According to the press release, the new vehicle will be a Jaguar, so we can rest assured knowing that it won’t be some oddly named and obnoxiously expensive Land Rover . Rather, it will be some sleek sexiness from the British big cat.

As of now, the details are very scarce, as Jag didn’t even give us the slightest clue on what this car will be. Stay tuned to TopSpeed.comand we’ll bring you all of the juicy bits once the car hits Goodwood.

The Ferrari FF grand tourer was presented in 2011 and launched for the 2012 model year. The FF name stands for "Ferrari Four," which hints at the vehicle’s four-seat interior and its four-wheel-drive configuration. Often described as a three-door shooting brake, the FF is Ferrari ’s first production all-wheel-drive model.

The four-wheel-drive system is an innovative unit engineered and patented by Ferrari. Dubbed 4RM, it is around 50 percent lighter than a conventional system. It splits the power between the four wheels as needed and it’s activated when the FF is driven in the "Comfort" or "Snow" modes. Otherwise, the FF functions as a rear-wheel-drive sports car .

Although it’s remained unchanged since its introduction, the FF can be customized via numerous personalization programs or Ferrari’s Special Projects division. Coming into 2015, the FF gains a special-edition model via Ferrari’s first Tailor-Made Center in Asia Pacific. Recently opened in Shanghai, China, the brand-new center showcased its potential with a couple of bespoke Ferraris, one of them being the FF Dressage Edition.

There has been a lot of talk about McLaren ’s known plan to launch a new model each year by 2019, but very few details have oozed from Woking, England until now. We do know there’s a track-speed P1 GTR and a more affordable P13 in the pipeline, and that a new supercar is scheduled to hit the streets in 2016 . The rest of the McLaren lineup was still a mystery until today, as Automobile managed to dig up even more details surrounding the company’s upcoming expansion.

According to the magazine, McLaren’s drawing board is already full. Besides the P13 and P1 GTR set to arrive within the next couple of years, the Brits are developing a near-supercar, likely to slot between the 650S and the P1 , as well as a replacement for the 650S. The two are reportedly scheduled to break cover between 2017 and 2019, with a brand-new sports car with a 2+2 seating configuration to follow in 2020.

Sounds like the Brits are elbows deep into their new strategy to conquer the sports car and supercar markets.

It may seem unlikely given Lincoln ’s current lineup, but there was a time when the company used to offer rear-wheel-drive, luxury coupes too. The last model to sport a two-door configuration was the Mark VIII. Introduced in 1992 and built on the same FN platform underpinning the tenth-generation Ford Thunderbird and the seventh-gen Mercury Cougar , the Lincoln Mark VIII got axed in June 1998. Granted, the disappearance of the Mark VIII left a big gap in the Lincoln range.

That’s likely to change in near future. But for that to happen, a couple of conditions must be met. First, Lincoln has to green light the use of the 2015 Mustang platform for a future product. Second, the production car to sit on that rear-wheel-drive architecture must come in a coupe configuration and not in the shape of a redesigned MKS sedan . It’s tricky and a bit far-fetched, but one can only hope that the MK Coupe Concept depicted above, courtesy of our friends at BoldRide, becomes more than just an intriguing idea.

Audi has finally pulled the covers off of the new Audi A3 Sedan and with it, the German automaker also introduced its S-variant, the equally new S3 Sedan . Oh joy.

Scheduled to meet the world at the New York Auto Show , the new S3 is already getting quite the attention from a lot of people in large part because Audi hasn’t had a small sports sedan in its line-up in a long time.

So you can say that the new S3 has a lot of expectations attached to it, in large part because you can never have enough people clamoring for a German sports sedan that they can actually afford.

Mercedes went ahead and revealed the CLA-Class earlier this year, so it was only the right time for Audi to join the German sports sedan party in America. There’s a sentence we never thought we’d write.

If you’ve been waiting for this day to come, well, wait no longer because details of the new Audi S3 Sedan can be found after the jump.

Updated 06/19/2014: Audi announced today prices for the 2015 S3 sedan set to go on sale late summer of this year. Prices will start from $41,100.

Bentley is planning to field a factory team at the Nurburgring 24 Hours next year. The British automaker will tackle the famed endurance event using its Continental GT3 race car. The announcement comes ahead of the 2014 race this weekend.

Bentley revealed that it is also considering other endurance races in 2015, but the automaker declined to get too deep in the detail. The Brits did, however, confirm that the Bentley Continental GT3 will take part in the Blancplain Endurance Series in 2015, most likely with a two-car lineup. What’s more, Bentley Motorsport will extend the Continental GT3 program to include several customer teams.

In the meantime, the Continental GT3 will face its first official 24-hour test in the upcoming 24 Hours of Spa on July 27th. The race will take place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and is the fourth event of the 2014 Blancplain Endurance Series.

The Gumball 3000 is an exciting thing to be a part of , but when you get hundreds of nice cars together to go on a 3,000-mile road trip, there is bound to be some carnage and general mayhem . Sadly that often means that one of the cool and valuable cars entered in the rally will not be going home in one piece. That story rings true for this modified Shelby Cobra .

The car is said to be good for 800 horsepower, and it looked downright menacing with its matte-black vinyl wrap. At some point during what looks like the UK leg of the trip, the Cobra was involved in an accident that ripped most of the car’s front end clean off. Most of the suspension, wheels and body work are completely missing in the photos gathered by GT Spirit. There is no information on the cause of the crash, but thankfully it appears that all those involved are safe.

The car itself was a 1966 model and as entry number 113, it was the official car from Battery Energy Drink, one of the main sponsors of this year’s rally.

Epic road trips are lots of fun, I love them , but it is important to remember to keep it safe out there. Especially when piloting an 800-horsepower hot rod with no roof.

Mercedes-Benz ushered in the era of coupe-like sedans with dramatically sloping rooflines and high beltlines. Starting in 2005, the CLS started the trend that later took hold at Audi and BMW with their respective S7 and 6-Series Gran Coupe. Though the base CLS is great, Mercedes had the engineers at AMG kick up the power and performance for 2007 in the first CLS63 AMG. The AMG edition survived the CLS’ first-generation change in 2011 and lives on into 2015.

Now coming in to the 2015 model year, Mercedes has updated the CLS63 AMG yet again to be an even more powerful and prestigious four-door coupe. The biggest and most important news, of course, surrounds the powerplants lying within the CLS’ engine bay. Still present is the stout 5.5-liter, Biturbo V-8, but gone are its previous outputs of 550 horsepower in the standard CLS63 AMG and 577 horsepower in the upgraded S-Model. Now replaced with more impressive stats, the engine is only part of the changes surrounding the revisions for 2015.

There’s a whole host of other changes for the 2015 CLS 63 AMG listed after the jump.

The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Prototype will make its first ever dynamic appearance at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed . The running prototype, which debuted at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this year, previews a production sedan that could pack the exact same engine found in the Nissan GT-R .

Aimed at high-performance sedans like the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG , the Q50 Eau Rouge could cost as much as $100,000, Infiniti boss Johan de Nysschen revealed earlier this month . With such a hefty sticker attached to its name, it’s not at all surprising that Infiniti is looking to attract as much attention as possible prior to firing up the assembly line.

And what better venue to do that than the Goodwood Festival of Speed? Sure, the Q50 might seem out of context among the classic race cars and the modern supercars attending the British event, but make no mistake, there’s a Nissan GT-R heart pumping under that four-door body.

As if the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS story wasn’t complicated enough, a new photo showing a possible scale model of the high-performance sports car just surfaced the Internet to pour more fuel on the fire. It may sound inappropriate for a brand-new vehicle to break cover via a scale model, which is supposed to hit specialized stores and showrooms after the car benefits from the necessary publicity, but it happened before.

For instance, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class made it onto the Web in the form of a 1:18 diecast model weeks before the German manufacturer staged its grand unveiling. Of course, that doesn’t mean the Porsche in the adjacent photo is the actual 911 GT3 RS, but we can’t help notice a few details we’re already familiar with.

Firstly, the scale model is clearly based on the latest iteration of the 911 GT3 . Secondly, the wheels are 100 percent similar to those seen in the GT3 RS spy shots we received earlier this year.

Puzzled yet? Well, buckle up because there’s more!
