Now that Porsche officially unveiled the new generation 911 Turbo Coupe it’s time to focus on the convertible version that is set to arrive a few months later. As no surprise, the convertible version will feature the same design language and technology features as the coupe version.
The new-generation 911 Turbo is the widest model of entire 911 lineup, as it is about 28 mm (1.10 inches) wider than the 911 Carrera 4. Additionally, it receives a new all-wheel-drive system, active rear-axle steering and adaptive aerodynamics.
Up front, the new 911 Turbo Convertible receives a new front fascia with redesigned headlamps and larger air intakes, new full-LED headlights that feature four-point daytime running lights. For the rear, you will see new taillights and a new exhaust system with four tailpipes. The convertible version will also feature a soft top that allows buyers to cruise with the top down.
Under the hood, the 911 Turbo Convertible receives a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 520 horsepower in the standard model and 560 horsepower in the S version.

Just the other days, the F-Type Coupe was revealed in a series of leaked patent drawings. Today the car was finally caught testing for the first time and, according to our spy photographers, it was pretty difficult to obtain the shots.
To no one’s surprise, there were tons of security guys around the area, so getting the picture required some war tactics, as our spy photographers hid in the cargo area of his SUV and he was forced to shoot through the tinted windows. This is why we have no clear photos showing the rear angle, but were still happy to see that Jaguar is finally testing the next F-Type Coupe.
Just like with the Roadster version, the Coupe will be offered in two V-6 versions and one V-8, but as previously reported, it may also get some R and R-S versions sometime in the future.

Now that Mazda has dropped the redesigned 2014 Mazda6 sedan->http://www.topspeed.com/cars/mazda/2014-mazda-6-ar123717.html], it’s no surprise that the same treatment is going to be applied to the Mazda3. All we had until now were rumors, but today our spy photographers managed to catch the next Mazda3 testing somewhere in Germany.
The prototype caught testing is heavily camouflaged, but you should expect a design language similar to what we saw with the new Mazda6. Our spy photographers also managed to catch a photo of the interior, revealing a redesigned dashboard and higher-quality materials. As for the engine lineup, we expect to see some improved versions of the current gasoline and diesel versions.
The new Mazda3 will be unveiled in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The first to arrive will be the hatchback version and it will be followed by a sedan a few months later.

In conjunction with the next-generation X5, BMW is also working on the M version of the SUV. The model has been caught testing for the first time doing some quick and loud laps around the Nürburgring race track.
Although the SUV is still fully camouflaged, there are some distinctive M elements that confirm this is the future X5 M. These special elements include the quad M exhausts, the active differential, and blue brake calipers, which have become the signature color for M model brakes. Behind the M brakes, there are drilled rotors which are being used for the first on any X5 model.
At the front of the car, there are huge air intakes and a path that connects the headlights to the kidney grilles, a feature found on the F30 3 Series.
Under the hood, there will be the same engine that can also be found in the M5: a twin-turbo V-8 delivering some 560 horsepower.
Expect to see the new BMW X5 M sometime in 2014.
UPDATE 5/3/2013: The folks over at Bimmerfest have managed to dig up a pair of images of what is obviously the upcoming X5 M testing with a little less camo than we have seen in other spy shots. In these images, we can make out the middle of the door panels, the bottom of the revised rear liftgate, more taillight detail and part of the rear quarter-panel window. The biggest details we can make out are the revised taillights that look more stylish than last year’s model and the roofline looks a little sleeker. Full story
We have heard rumors about a possible M235i ever since BMW unveiled the M135i Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Back then it was rumored that the production version would carry the same M135i nomenclature, but considering that BMW has changed its naming system, the two-door coupe version will be called M235i.
Until now, all we had were rumors and speculation, but today our spy photographers caught the M235i lapping the Nürburgring. As expected, the prototype is heavily camouflaged, but it is pretty obvious it will carry an aggressive exterior look similar to other M models.
Under the hood, rumors suggest we are going to see the same engine we saw in the M135i Concept, which is a straight-six-cylinder engine with M Performance Twin Power Turbo technology that puts down more than 300 horsepower. The model will also be equipped with a rear-wheel-drive layout and sports suspension setup.

The revised version of the current-generation Mercedes S-Class has been caught testing many times, including extreme cold-weather conditions. However, the prototype caught today by our spy photographers gives us the best look at the new S-Class to date, as it is almost completely void of all camouflage and our photographers got up close and personal with the car.
The 2014 S-Class will borrow design elements from the F800 Style Concept, making it sharper and a little bit more aggressive. Also, we expect to see the same one-piece headlamps with LED daytime running lights we have seen in the new E-Class.
Under the hood, Mercedes will likely place a revised version of the current engine lineup, which includes a Twin-turbocharged, 4.7-liter V-8 engine with 429 horsepower; a 510-horsepower twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-12; and an AMG twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 delivering somewhere between 536 and 550 horsepower.

Earlier this month, Skoda dropped the first teaser video for the new Octavia vRS that set to be unveiled at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 11th through 14th 2013. Today, our spy photographers managed to catch the car testing for the first time, and, as you can see, the prototype caught testing features light camouflage that reveals few details on the model to be unveiled in July.
The car is camouflaged only on major parts and hides the air intakes on the left and right side of the front bumper, as well as the LED fog lights.
The new vRS version will be distinguished by a meaner look, thanks to its tinted headlights, rear spoiler and two bigger exhaust exits.
Rumors suggest that the model will be powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI delivering about 220 horsepower that hooks up to a six-speed manual or a DSG gearbox.

At the 2013 New York Auto Show, Chevrolet decided to bring the "Z/28" badge back to its lineup. With this announcement came the sneaking suspicion that Chevy is preparing a convertible version to go along with the recently announced coupe.
The new Camaro Z/28 Convertible, if it ever hits the market, will offer the same design language as the coupe version, except for the soft-top roof that will make it even more fun to drive on those hot, summer days.
While Chevrolet decides whether it will offer a Camaro Z/28 convertible or not, we put together a nice rendering to help give you an idea of what the convertible model would look like.
We anticipate a convertible variant of the Z/28 to be unveiled sometime in late 2013 or early 2014 as a 2015 model. We’ll keep a close eye out for any details alluding to Chevy launching this model.

Yesterday we brought you the first spy shots of a BMW 4 Series Coupe equipped with the M-Sport package. As no surprise, where BMW is testing the coupe version, a convertible version isn’t too far away. Our spy photographers caught this 4-Series Convertible testing somewhere in Germany and, just like its coupe brother, it has also started to strip.
The 2014 4 Series Convertible will be offered as a cheaper alternative to the 6 Series Convertible and hopes to attract younger buyers. It will combine design elements from the latest generation 3 Series, with the aggressive look of a 6 Series, but with more squared-off headlights and larger eyebrows.
Under the hood, BMW will use the same engine lineup as in the coupe. This means U.S. customers will have to choose between a 428i with a 240-horsepower, 2.0-liter; or a 435i, which should come with a 306-horsepower, 3.0-liter six-cylinder.
Production is said to start at the Regensburg plant in November. Full story
One of the biggest surprises on the German public roads this week was an Alpina version of the 2014 6-Series GranCoupe. As you can see, the model is wearing camouflage only in the parts rumored to be updated, because as usual, Alpina is preparing the biggest updates under the hood.
As you can see from these spy shots, Alpina will use a 650i version for its project. While in the standard version the 4.4-liter V-8 engine delivers a total of 450 horsepower, Alpina is rumored to add at least an extra 100 horsepower. We expect this extra power to significantly improve the car’s current 0 to 60 mph sprint time of 4.6 seconds.
Next to the engine upgrades, Alpina will also offer a few styling changes, an updated interior and.a new set of wheels, of course.
