SR Auto Group

Some of the best tuning firms in the world don’t even bother working on mild-mannered programs; these tuners go straight to the big boys.

And quite frankly, you can’t get any more ’big boy’ than Ferrari , and in this particular case, the soon-to-be-replaced Ferrari 599 GTB .

Stunning might be an understatement to describe this car, just like one of SR Auto Group’s previous projects, the equally diabolical and luscious Project 612 Adonai.

The Charcoal Gray matte finish is attractive in its own right. Then you add a new Kresiegg exhaust system that just raises the decibel level of the supercar’s 620-horsepower, 6.0-liter V12 powerhouse engine. And just to finish off the program on a high note, SR Auto Group also fitted the Ferrari 599 GTB with a ridiculous set of 2WO wheels courtesy of PUR Wheels.

Even if this program is devoid of any performance modifications, the slick, sexy, and stealthy look of the Ferrari 599 GTB Wraith is enough reason for us to bow down to the boys at SR Auto Group.

Job well done, boys. Job well done.

The American tuner SR Auto Group has started the year in style with the unveiling of the new Project Violator based on the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 . The work started last year, but only now the project has been finished.

The tuner initially wanted to offer a "Militar Gray" exterior paint - their favorite colors of all time, but it was time to try something new. So the tuner has opted for a smoked matte gray finish for the exterior that makes the ZR1 to look more impressive than ever.

The new exterior painted of course needed a new set of wheels. And as the tuner has a long tradition with ADV1 Wheels, of course these were also used now. The tuner used ten spoke deep concave wheels finished with a matte gray face and combined with true blue calipers. And if to these exterior changes you will add the LS9 supercharged 6.2 liter V-8 engine rated at 638 HP then you will get the perfect sports car.

Tuning firms don’t bother with concepts; there’s no reason to. The masterpieces they create stem from some of the most amazing pieces of automotive goodness created by long-standing automakers in the industry. American tuner, SR Auto Group, however has come up with something as close to a concept as tuning firms will ever get. Their new "Eagle Eye" package is based off the Mercedes SLS sports car and is said to be a "prime example of what’s to come in the new year."

The idea behind Eagle Eye was to create a unified theme where every piece of this car could shine on its own. It combines an impressive exterior white paint finish with a black and red interior. The tuner then upgraded the brake system - the calipers were removed for a fresh coat of paint that would match the vibrant red interior - and topped off the look with an exclusive new set of PUR wheels. The wheels feature a wide split five spoke design with a deep concave face. Complete with hidden hardware, these three piece wheels are a masterpiece all on their own.

If SR Auto Group’s Mercedes SLS AMG Eagle Eye is only a preview of what’s to come for the new year, then it’s going to be one helluva year!

Its true that the BMW M3 E92 caught all the attention lately, but the "old" E90 is still as impressive as the E92. So you shouldn’t be surprised about the fact that the American tuner SR Auto Group decided to offer an update package for it. And as any sports car look better in black, this is the color uses for this "Sinister M3."

When it comes about a great sports car one of the first thing that catches your attention are the wheels. And for this package SR dropped the standard ones and replaced them with a new set from BBS. The wheels are in CH-R design and of course they are painted in black.

The next step was to adjust the exterior look. But as the M3 is very impressive from factory there wasn’t much job to do: the tuner only added a new front lip and rear diffuser. All these were combined with s matte black paint with a touch of carbon fiber.

The attendance of SR Auto Group’s Scion xB "Project Anarchy" to the 2011 SEMA Auto Show was guaranteed after the tuning company won the 2011 Scion Canadian Tuning Challenge.

And if you have a car that comes packed with so many modifications, then it becomes pretty obvious why this car was sent to SEMA. Exterior enhancements abound and SR Auto Group didn’t waste any space in modifying the xB. Tho begin with, the crossover was given a Military Grey paint finish. Then, there are bumper and headlight conversions from OEM, a carbon fiber hood, trunk, and spoiler from Seibon, racing lips (front and rear) and side skirts from Molded A/T, a Monarch Puddle Lamp System, an Alumina Xenon HID system, and a new set of 19" matte-brushed, aluminum face, chrome lip Modulare Bespokre M23 wheels wrapped in Nitto tires.

Meanwhile, the Project Anarchy’s interior was also given a comprehensive overhaul, highlighted by a Reventon-inspired suede seat inserts, leather seat bolsters, and tri-stitched door panel inserts. There’s also a gloss black interior trim, a TRD Racing carbon fiber shift knob, white ambient interior lights, and Blue LED foot well lights. The completely modified interior also received a Kenwood audio system with speakers and a 12" subwoofer, courtesy of Hertz, as well as a Kenwood amplifier and a 32" LED television on the rear end of the car.

SR Auto Group impressed us with lots of impressive tuning package lately. If you remember just recently we have reported about the Project Deathbolt and the Project Veneto . And today its time to talk about the Project Flashbang based on the BMW Z4 .

The drawing board for Project Flashbang was filled with an abundance of ideas but in the end the tuner decided to go with what felt natural. SR Group is usually a tuner that modifies the least as possible. But with the Z4 they did a little bit more: they have added an AC Schnitzer front aero lip, a new front bumper, a two piece lip spoiler and a rear with a sharper edge.

The package continues with a new set of wheels from Modulare. The B11 model was finished with a gunmetal tint face and gloss black windows. Completing the package was a set of H&R lowering springs.

Anytime we see a tuning package from SR Auto Group, we know that we are going to be in for quite a treat, but their latest tuning package is a little on the boring side. The American tuner has chosen to perk up the Maserati GranTurismo with a package called Project Deathbolt. The name may have been chosen for its intimidation factor, but this package is anything but.

SR Auto Group developed Project Deathbolt in cooperation with PUR Wheels who have measured out the perfect fitment to create the package’s defining stance. The team picked out a stunning effective split five spoke design set of wheels finished in a gloss black paint to tie in all of the black lower valences. Combined with a pure white exterior paint job, these black wheels are the stars of the show, but that’s an easy task to accomplish when nothing else was added.

Project Deathbolt will still be powered by the Maserati’s standard 4.2 liter V8 engine developing 405 HP and 339 lb-ft of torque which means customers will still get from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph.

We still think SR Auto Group is a killer tuning firm, but if you need a reminder, just check out their Project Megalith based on the Ferrari 599 GTB .

Canadian tuner, SR Auto Group , is no stranger to redefining sports cars from a number of high end automakers. The difference with their latest project is that the vehicle in question is on its last leg , and oh what a beautiful leg it is. Called Project Megalith, this tuning kit is based on a Ferrari 599 GTB and its transformation is subtle and sweet.

Gone is the original dark shade found on the Italian sports car. In its place is a matte white frosted hue with two contrasting black stripes running cleanly through the center of the hood and upward towards a blacked out roof. The black accent is also present in a set of Novitec NF3 wheels with a matte black face and polished lip.

No engine upgrades were provided for the Ferrari 599 GTB , so the sports car is still thundering out 611 HP at 7600 rpm and 448 lb-ft at 5600 rpm out of its 5,999cc V12 engine. The difference with the Megalith is that SR Auto Group has opted for an RSC exhaust system to hone in on the Ferrari’s menacing roar.

Project Veneto by SR Auto Group started its life as a "simple" Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce . It probably had no idea that once the head honchos in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy were finished with its design, a tuning firm like SR Auto Group would swoop in and make it look like Barney.

The LP670-4 SuperVeloce is the ultimate Murcielago , so to change something like its exterior color is the most simplistic way to ruin the elegance of the vehicle. SR Auto Group sees it differently. The tuner stated, "Within a short timeframe, Project Veneto was dressed in a brand new outfit. Just like fashion, the purpose is to create stunning pieces that have all eyes locked. Project Veneto is vivid, strong, edgy, and most of all unique."

We’re not so easily convinced of the grandiose nature of this tuning project. In fact, we think the quick turnover of the Project Veneto was the fastest way to bastardize an otherwise beautiful supercar. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

The dog days of summer are just about here and SR Auto Group is preparing for the heat with a cool new "LP560-4 Berzerk" package based on the Lamborghini Gallardo.

A car such as the Gallardo cannot be trusted to just about anybody, but SR Auto Group has consistently prepared dominating packages for the super car and their latest project is certainly no different. Being a natural beauty to begin with, the LP560-4’s body was accentuated with the use of clean, sophisticated lines provided by a two-tone finish front bumper, carbon fiber side skirts, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. The polished look was then capped off with an Ocean Blue paint job and new set of Monotec T04 wheels offered in size 20" and painted in a gloss black finish.

No updates were provided for the supercar’s 5.2 liter 560 HP V10 engine, but the sounds reverberating from the vehicle get a deeper, more defined tone with a new RSC performance exhaust system. This does nothing for the 3.7 sec 0-60 mph sprint time, but it’ll surely get you noticed.
