A Station Wagon is a car body style similar to a sedan car but with an extended rear cargo area.

Volkswagen will unveil at the Paris Auto Show the cleanest Passat ever and its name says it all: BlueTDI. This is the first from a long list of BlueTDI models.

The combination between the TDi engine and the DSG dual-clutch gearbox helped to reduce fuel consumption by 28%.

The BlueTDI is powered by a 2.0-liter common-rail engine that delivers 143 hp. But despite this big output the new Passat only need 5,5 liters per 100 km (with CO2 Emission of 144 g / km CO2) for the station wagon version and 5.2 l/100 km (139 g / km CO2) for the sedan version.

Both sedan and station wagon version will be available for orders starting beginning of 2009.

Audi will unveil at the Paris Auto Show the 2009 S4, both sedan and station wagon version. The two models will go on sale in March 2009.

Both models are powered by a completely redesigned engine: the 3.0 TFSI, the newest member of the Audi V-engine family. The V6 generates its power from a displacement of 2,995 cc, is equipped with a supercharger, and delivers 333 hp. The sedan sprints to100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 5.1 seconds, and the Avant in 5.2 seconds: they both have an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph).

The 3.0 TFSI delivers its maximum 440 Nm (324.53 lb-ft) at 2,500 rpm and maintains this constantly until 4,850 rpm. In fourth gear, the vehicle accelerates from 80 to 120 km/h (49.71 to 74.56 mph) in just 4.4 seconds. Thanks to the extremely short gas paths, the sonorous, supercharged V6 responds spontaneously to the throttle, even more so than a naturally aspirated engine of the same displacement.

Furthermore, the new 3.0 TFSI achieves exemplary fuel efficiency. On average, the sedan uses 9.7 liters of fuel per 100 km (24.25 US mpg), and the Avant 9.9 liters per 100 km (23.76 US mpg) – an improvement of 3.4 liters (26 percent) compared with its predecessor.

The Ford Mondeo is one of those ultra-sleek sedans that we all hope will be part of the cars that Ford will bring over from Europe. The Ford Mondeo Combi is a family car that doesn’t need a tuning kit or any improvement. Still, this didn’t stop Rieger Tuning, in cooperation with SG-Design, created a new look for the vehicle. The new kit consists in a front lip spoiler, new side sills, a roof spoiler and a new rear spoiler featuring a 4-pipe exhaust system with integrated carbon fiber air diffuser.

For better stability a new KW suspension kit was installed as well as a new set of 19 inch alloy wheels. Price of the kit: €2860.

First was the CTS-V sedan . Now after the launch of the coupe version , we will also have a CTS-V coupe. So if the CTS Sport Wagon is successful, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch for Cadillac to make a CTS-V wagon.

If built, the CTS-V station wagon will compete with models like Audi RS6 or Mercedes E63 AMG , but will be much more cheaper: considering the 2009 CTS-V sedan will start right at $60,000, the wagon version would still likely be about $25,000 less expensive than the E63 wagon.

The station wagon will have the same RWD configuration as the sedan, along with the 19-inch wheels carrying Michelin PS2s, and the revised front-end styling, which accommodates the tall supercharged motor and provides for better cooling than the standard car’s front clip. It would do the quarter-mile in the mid-12-second range and carry 121.9 cubic feet worth of cargo.

It may seem like an unholy union, the combination of a 1960 Nash Rambler Wagon and a Ferrari 360, but its definitely unique. The car known as the "Ferrambo" is ready for sale. The cross-breed between body of a Rambler and the 3.6L V8 engine from a 2002 Ferrari 360 Modena , with some major help from some custom fabrication. Much of the car is hand made, including the custom frame that accommodates the car behind the two front seats.

The car made such a big splash at the 2008 Detroit Autorama that it won the coveted Riddler award. It features a set of custom leather luggage related to the upholstery. Although the Ferrambo is not a car fits everyone’s tastes, it may just be the perfect expensive grocery-getter. Anyone interested may need deep pockets, because apparently the price is high. Information is available through the GP Imports, but there has not been an official price list provided yet.

So you didn’t just buy a wagon, but a diesel wagon. It’s time to show the world you’re still cool. That’s why Kicherer, a German tuning company, revealed its new product: the tuned C 320CDI 4-Matic wagon inspired by the C-Class wagon. The company brought several modifications to the new model such as adding an AMG body kit, lowering the suspension and fitting new 19-inch RS-1 alloy wheels wrapped in performance tires.

On the inside, the car features a new speedometer, a leather/wood steering wheel and a two-tone leather trim that also covers the dashboard. The 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine received an additional 31 hp, raising the total output to 265 hp. Due to these upgrades the new hot wagon can reach 60 mph in 6.7sec while the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
