A Station Wagon is a car body style similar to a sedan car but with an extended rear cargo area.

BMW today announced the US specifications for the new 3-Series . It will be offered in both sedan and station wagon version, with the special introduction of BMW Advanced Diesel with BluePerformance in the form of the 335d Sedan.

Engine line-up will be as follows: the 3.0-liter naturally aspirated unit in 328i models with weight-saving magnesium/aluminum composite construction and Valvetronic induction technology for 230 hp; and the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine of 335i models with its direct fuel injection (piezo injectors here, too) and large-volume dual exhaust system.

This unit delivers 300 hp, and a peak torque that is remarkable not only for its quantity (300 lb-ft.) but for the range over which it’s at the driver’s disposal (1400 to 5000 rpm). Both of these gasoline engines have been acclaimed widely for their respective qualities: for the 328i unit, silky and strong performance with remarkable fuel economy; for the 335i, dramatically sporty performance with fuel economy that’s notable in view of the power.

The 2009 models are: 328i Sedan and Sports Wagon; 328i xDrive Sedan and Sports Wagon; 335i, 335i xDrive and 335d Sedans. The 3 Series also encompasses Coupes and retractable-hardtop Convertibles; these continue with less extensive updates for 2009.

This might be the first time you hear about a 9-3X from Saab. It is supposed to also be a glimpse of the production version 9-4x.

The name 9-3X was used for the first time like 7 years ago when the company unveiled a concept with this name. And now is time for the production version.

The 9-3X is a response to an Audi Allroad or a Subaru wagon. It’s raised by approx 30mm, is fitted with Saab’s groundbreaking Cross Wheel Drive (XWD).

The 9-3x is coming in Paris in October and the 9-5 is coming at Geneva in March, so, the only option for the 9-4X is the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

Although Eibach is a German tuner and it supposed to present a German car, the tuning company unveiled its latest customization programme for the French vehicle Peugeot 308 SW. BMW 3-Series facelift - official images

As you can see the design is inspired by the newly launched 7-Series, featuring a new heavily profiled bumper, the revised headlights and the new grille that lost the chrome “eyebrows”. But I still prefer the old 3-Series!

BMW will offer two versions: the 328i with a 3.0-liter, 230-hp inline-six and the 335i with a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, 300-hp inline-six.

For those who think that the 580 hp of the Audi RS6 Avant aren’t enough, there is MTM. The tuning house boosted the RS6 to an astonishing 702 hp, making the sprint from 0-100 km/g possible in less than four seconds while the top speed exceeds 300 km/h. A good improvement if we think that the ”standard” RS6 sprinted to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds while the top speed was electronically limited to 250 km/h.

According to the tuner the car could go way over 320 km/h but with the addition of a new aerodynamic kit. For the moment the vehicle was fitted only with a carbon fiber ar diffuser, Price of the upgrade: $6,300 or around $1,500 just for removing the electronic speed limiter which makes the car stop at 280 km/h.
