We hate to say we told you so… Wait who are we kidding? We love to say we told you that our article about oft-troubled Lindsay Lohan crashing her rented Porsche would not be the last thing we’d hear about the accident. According to TMZ, Lohan was forbidden to drive any car at the time she was in the accident.

You see, Ms. Lohan has a bit of a, um, drinking problem and with that problem tends to come her urge to get behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle. To help prevent that and preserve the filming of her ongoing Lifetime series “Liz & Dick,” the company insuring the film added a stipulation that Lindsay Lohan was forbidden to drive any car, let alone a Porsche 911 , while the show was in production.

Oops, we guess she missed that memo. We also assume that the production company missed that memo too, as directly behind Lohan’s borrowed Porsche during the accident was an SUV used by the production crew… Double oops.

Fortunately for the production company, the insurance company did not cancel the plan, but it did require the company to inform Lohan that she is not permitted to drive for any reason whatsoever.

What a life to live. You have multiple millions of dollars in the bank and you have insurance companies and production companies taking your keys away like a 16-year-old that just got caught staying out after curfew.

Okay, we can once again resume ignoring everything involving Lindsay Lohan, unless it involves her and a car.

Will.I.Am's IAMAUTO Car

For a while now, Black Eyed Peas member, Will.I.Am, has been prancing a DeLorean DMC-12 wrapped in a body kit and some rather odd looking headlights around calling it a (ahem) “Concept car ” for his new “car company” dubbed “IAMAUTO.” In reality, this is literally nothing but an uglier version of the original crap box that hit the market in 1981.

Saying that any rendition of the DMC-12 could be uglier than the original may seem rather impossible, but this monstrosity takes the cake. Its sheer ugliness is not the news though. The news is that the LAPD has recently impounded this “concept” car. Though we wish we could say it was impounded for lowering property value, we cannot, but it is for an equally boneheaded reason.

Will.I.Am was caught driving this thing around L.A. without a license plate, registration, or VIN plates. We venture to say that list can also include insurance, as you typically cannot insure a car without a VIN.

So why did Mr. I.Am decide to take his “concept” on an un-plated and extremely illegal spin? According to reports, the musician said he just wanted to feel what it was like to drive his concept car on the street. Um, a few problems… First, that is no more a concept car than a 1987 Fiero with a Ferrari kit is a concept car. Secondly, you are a multi-millionaire pop star, pay to have the thing registered before driving it or take it to a track to drive it!

We’re not here to pass judgment on the guy, but please use that 3-pound hunk of water, lipids, protein, carbs, soluble organics, and inorganic salts inside of your skull (A.K.A. your brain) next time you think about taking an un-plated and unregistered car for a spin.

A silver lining in the whole situation is that Will.I.Am was, according to reports, extremely cooperative with the police. So we have to give him credit for that, at least.

If you live in the south especially, you are rather familiar with the various low-speed spectacles that occur on racetracks that typically involve a $500 Dodge Omni without windows and a glass-pack muffler. You know, the amateur circle track circuits, of course. Having owned and operated various mechanic shops in the southern United States, I have become accustomed to these races and the mechanics that show up on Saturday mornings with their “race cars” en tow for that afternoon’s race.

I personally have never frequented these races, but I can only imagine the hilarity that takes place when you get a bunch of race-fuel adrenaline junkies on a track that is too small and they are battling for position at speeds in excess of a sound-barrier-breaking 45 mph. Well, sometimes a little fun breaks out at these fine automobile competitions, as some get a little bit too excited and go way overboard.

The scene in the above video is a prime example of what happens when a non-professional racer gets a little too angry and goes on an exhaust fume-fueled rage. The driver of the red car, which looks to be a circa-1987 Nissan Pulsar, apparently has some sort of beef with the driver of the black car with green numbers and decides to turn his sub-compact “racecar” into a missile.

The driver veers through the infield and rather impressively aligns his car up with his moving target – clearly using advanced physics to make such a precise maneuver – and slams into the side of the enemy racer. The driver of the black car does what any self-respecting racer does; he proceeds to exit his cockpit and confront the red car’s driver. Well, that didn’t turn out well either, as the red car’s driver wasn’t done yet and proceeded to beat the hell out of the black car’s driver.

We never condone violence, but in the famed words of Larry the Cable Guy "I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right der…" We are willing to bet that the red car’s driver is suspended from the track for just about as long as he lives.

We hate saying this but many people buy expensive supercars just to be seen in them. Rather than appreciating the engineering and hard work which is put into creating these exotics, the sad truth is people buys cars like the Lamborghini to find beautiful women who will be “wooed” by their expensive taste.

But does expensive always mean more girls will be attracted to you cruising in your car? Well, Motor Trend teamed up with HOT ROD Magazine’s David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan when they rented a Lamborghini Aventador for 24 hours, costing a cool $6000 dollars. They were also lucky enough to take an extremely unique and one-off 1930 Model A ‘Rat Rod’ which was only ever designed for automotive conventions and shows, rather than actual driving.

The goal of the test? Well, it was simply to find out which car attracts the most attention when cruising through Californian streets, and the result may surprise you.

Enjoy the video!

Videos of supercars revving in London, England consistently surface on YouTube as the place is packed full of incredible hypercars. These cars continually roam the crowded streets as London is extremely popular for rich Arabian businesspeople who often ship their car’s to the UK for its cool Summer.

This following video contains three core components: An incredible, blacked out Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV , a wealthy UK owner doing the videographer a huge favor, and an incredibly nasty Londoner who, as you’ll soon find out, brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘crazy.’

The videographer, who in this case was shooting for the supercarsoflondon YouTube channel, asked the owner to rev his stunning Lamborghini not expecting the onslaught which would soon followed.

An angry man swiftly goes up to the Lamborghini in protest that the insane revving “scared” him and others around the car, before releasing a barrage of assaults. That is when the NSFW content comes into play.

Although the owner does insult the pedestrian after his initial complaint, it didn’t warrant the insults which followed. The owner goes on to continually state that he was simply doing it as a favor to the man filming, but the “mental guy” doesn’t take that for an excuse.

Check out the video, and it’s obvious which side of the argument we’re on as who in their right minds could not enjoy that lovely exhaust note, but whose side are you on?

Crashing an exotic is bad enough, but locking your Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in an expensive garage at a Scottish Ferrari dealership only to find that it’s been destroyed by an axe-wielding intruder is something else entirely. This is, unfortunately, not a figment of our imagination.

The owner, Rajinder Singh, booked the car into the local Ferrari dealership garage to have a pump fixed and one would assume that Ferrari would take extensive measures to ensure the garage is safe, but as proved by this case, it wasn’t.

Not long after leaving the car for its repair work, the expensive GT-car had its windows smashed and the tires slashed by a knife when the intruder broke into the garage, but as for now, those are all the details we can bring you.

If there is a silver lining in this cloud of grey, it’s the fact that the whole event was captured on CCTV so arresting the man responsible should be a breeze for local police.

The owner had the following to say to the Daily Record: “This has been a nightmare. The car was just in the garage to get a pump fixed when this happened. The car costs £207,000 new and the damage will cost about £40,000 to get fixed. It is bad enough that this has happened but the garage have been useless. The whole thing is a bad joke. I gave the garage a car worth more than £200,000 and they give me back a car that is effectively written off. The police asked me if there could be anyone who has a grudge against me but the garage is miles from my home. No one would have known it was my car. The police say they have investigated, got no leads and say there’s nothing else they can do.”

And we cannot blame the owner for his frustration. If there are any eagle-eyed Scottish readers out there, keep an eye out!

Carroll Shelby: The Life of a Legend

At this point, nearly a month after his death , we all assumed that Carroll Shelby was peacefully laid to rest in a plot of land or cremated, so his ashes may stay with his family or spread as he saw fit. According to a report by TMZ, neither of these scenarios are true, as his family is now fighting over who has control over his deceased body.

On one side we have Shelby’s children that are claiming that their father signed paperwork leaving the eldest son in control of the deceased former racecar driver’s body. It looks as if Shelby’s long estranged wife, Cleo, is fighting the children stating that being his wife, she has full rights to his remains. She is fighting this despite the fact that Carroll was in the midst of annulling their 14-year-long marriage citing her lying about numerous personal things, such as her assets and even her real name.

She is also arguing that there is no way that Mr. Shelby could have signed any papers giving his son control, as he did not have the “physical capacity or eyesight” to read, understand, and sign off on the papers.

Until this is all sorted out, Mr. Shelby’s body is stuck at the medical examiner’s office in a freezer, which is not the place for this automotive hero. He needs to be laid to rest in the place that he made clear he wanted to be prior to his death. If his estranged wife truly does care, she would allow him that right.

There is a silver lining to this whole thing and that’s that the annulment Shelby filed for in April is still pending and a judge does have the right to approve an annulment even after death. So in the end this could all be resolved with one tap of a gavel from a judge and Mr. Shelby can rest peacefully.

There comes a time in every person’s life where sacrifices must be made and the biggest moment of sacrifice is when you have a child. I know that my son comes first in everything. There is not a single thing in this world that I would put before his health, safety, and overall well-being. Unfortunately, not everyone feels this way.

Enter in a woman (we know her name, but we’ll spare her some privacy) from the Denver, Colorado area, and you have a woman that made the “mistake” (her words, not ours) of putting $7.00 worth of gasoline in a child safety seat, as the young child sits in the seat next to the car seat with a lap belt around him.

After picking up what appears to be a 2-gallon gas can of fuel, she apparently couldn’t find any other better place to sit it other than her child’s car seat. So she removed her son and placed him on the adult seat and securely strapped in the can of gas in the child seat.

Fortunately, she was stopped by the Aurora Police Department during a random seatbelt checking campaign and she received a slew of tickets. One of the officers snapped a picture of the terrible site and posted it on the Colorado DOT’s Facebook page, which now has 704 comments, most of which comment on the horrendous lack of safety, and 2,031 shares.

To make matters worse, on this undisclosed woman’s Facebook page she posted on May 30th “So I jus [sic] got pulled over! No license again....but I didn’t go to jail! Thank God! This time I learned! !!!” This leads us to believe that not only was she driving with her son in the worst possible position – in a regular seat with a can of gas within reach – but she was doing so without a valid license, which she has done before.

It’s not our job to judge, so we will just say that no matter what, the safety of you children always comes before a can of gas…

Mistaking the brake pedal for the accelerator is a problem often associated with the elderly who seem to slowly lose some of their procedural skills due to age. That being said, this mistake is also prevalent in females who account for double of all accidents caused by making this simple and forgivable mistake when compared to men.

We have no idea why this occurs, but an interesting case has just come out of Turkey, where a young woman crashed her spectacular white Porsche 911 Turbo into a gas station after accidentally applying the throttle instead of the brake when turning in to fill up at the station.

As you’ll soon see from the attached video, the woman crashed into a black car before crashing through the gas station, plowing through the aisles of products and almost coming out the other side of station.

The Porsche 911 Turbo is so fast that the driver may have only floored the gas pedal for 1 to 2 seconds, and the car would have already been traveling 30 or 40 mph before it even entered the station.

Fortunately, the driver and her passenger were not injured in the incident although an employee at the gas station was admitted to hospital with minor injuries.

If you have any suggestions on how manufacturers could minimize these incidents, then leave a comment!

We all hate what Chevy did to the Monte Carlo following its axing after the 1988 model year. 1988 was the final year for the “Manly” Monte, if you can call a 180-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 “Manly.” Most of its testosterone came from its throaty V-8 exhaust note and relatively edgy look, when fitted with the SS package.

In 1995, the Monte Carlo essentially came back as a two-door version of the Lumina. It was fattened to extreme proportions in 2000, as Chevy attempted to make this neutered muscle car somewhat resemble its earlier muscular years without adding any real muscle to it. Apparently, some people see these circa-2000 Monte Carlos as disposable machines, as one man decided to turn his into a V-6-powered missile, then launching it into General Motors’ headquarters, also known as the Renaissance Center for a reason unknown to us.

According to reports by witnesses, the driver, donning all black clothing, lined up the car perfectly with the revolving front door. After sitting there for a short period of time, the driver punched the gas on this flabby, 180-horsepower coupe and smashed into the revolving front door. GM was likely pretty happy that the driver chose this car as his weapon of choice, as its 8-second 0-to-60 mph time greatly limited the damage done and the automotive giant expects the damage to be as good as new in just a day.

There is no motive yet behind the kamikaze Monte Carlo driver, but the police do have the suspect in custody and are questioning him. With the craziness that is happening these days, the possible motives are endless. We’ll let you know why exactly this man chose to plow his beloved Chevy into GM’s headquarters once we learn the motive.
