Subaru has just released the official details on the new 2011 Forester. The Japanese automaker has placed a 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder motor in the vehicle’s engine compartment. There will also be a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the performance oriented XT. While we’re on the XT topic, Subaru has announced that the XT will be available in two trim levels, the Premium and the Touring. The Touring trim, which will replace the Limited at the top of the line, will offer buyers self-adjusting HID headlights, dual-zone climate controls, and a backup camera. If you can’t afford the top of the line Touring model don’t fret, as Subaru has equipped the basic models with more goodies than every before. The Forester will come standard with Bluetooth and a one-touch up/down driver’s window. Bump it up to the 2.5X Premium and the 2.5XT Premium and you will get a new audio system with six speakers, a USB and AUX jacks, iPod integration, and Satellite radio capability. Hit the jump for the full list of specifications. Press Release Subaru What’s New for 2011 Forester
10 comments: Subaru Forester It looks better on a red body paint. Anyway, I have to agree that it doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t have a stunning appearance. The important is its practicality and its efficient engine.
It looks very attractive on its spacious and dressed-up interior! Well, it doesn’t really matter if its exterior appearance looks so simple and ordinary. Good thing as well that it has a nice speed performance.
Even though it only looks so simple and ordinary on its platform and style, I must say that I would still prefer to have this one than to other overdressed vehicles. The practicality of this one is the most important.
The aesthetic design that this Forester had is so awesome on it, and I must say that it doesn’t need to be looks so elegant, because it is already very appealing on that simplicity that it has.
The Subaru Forester is still very striking for me in spite of having only a simple design and detailing, and the specifications that it had been somewhat very impressive also. Anyway, the spacious interior is so awesome either.
Forester is so simple and ordinary on its platform, but in spite of that I can say that I’m still impressed with this one, for having a spacious interior and it is so reliable on the road.
Forester is so appealing in its simplicity and with its light body paint. The interior is so spacious which I found so impressive, but I’m curious if what is really the figure performance of this one.
The Forester interior seems so spacious and relaxing, which is so impressive though it only had a simple platform and styling. Is it already in production? And I’m kind of curious on its technologies.
Is the XT still saddled with the 4-Speed tranny? Because that’s a big deal-killer. Surely fuel economy could be further improved with a few more cogs, or at least with their CVT.
