Well that was a wild and exciting Podcast. As always, we want to send a super special thanks to everyone who tuned in live, and to everyone who gave us questions to answer. If you didn’t happen to catch the live show, let me inform you of what you have waiting for you after you click that play button.

We start the show off in the usual manner with the Weekly Wheels segment where Mark talks about how good the Scion Scion FR-S is, even though it had an automatic transmission. I then proceed to tell him he is incorrect, and then we move on to talking about my time with the long wheelbase Range Rover. Spoiler: it’s like driving a house made of $100 bills.

We had a pretty busy news week and so there was a lot to cover. We move from the Range Rover straight into Mark’s choice for the five best off-road machines, talk about a worthless BMW that someone tried to sell for $18k and we even talk about the new pointless Mercedes SUV… sort of.

In other car news, we cover the shiny new Volvo XC90, the upcoming Focus RS rumors and the potential for a Ford Mustang with a 10-speed transmission. You know, like a mountain bike.

We finish the show with a fairly lengthy Q&A followed by our signature Own, Drive, Burn. For the viewer questions we discuss when the new NSX might finally arrive, what our current dream long term test car may be, the potential future of the Mazdaspeed3 and whether it is a good idea to buy a nice used car or a cheaper new one. For Own, Drive, Burn we decide between three legendary classic Hot Hatches.

The show did run a little long, but since it was the six month anniversary of our first podcast, we figured you guys wouldn’t care too much.

A quick parting note to all our US viewers. This is a crazy holiday weekend, and traditionally there are lots of incidents involving motorized things and the use of alcohol. We want you back next week, so don’t do anything stupid like drink and drive.

Don’t forget to drop your questions and Own, Drive, Burn suggestions for next week’s show in the comments below.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Another live episode of the TopSpeed Podcast has come and gone again. We hope everyone enjoyed this extra-large episode celebrating 25 jam packed casts of automotive mayhem.

We start this week out with the return of Mark, and a little talk about pumpkins and drunken hand grenade safety. It’s a strange story, but we are sure you will find it entertaining. Once the show proper gets started, we get things moving with Weekly Wheels. This week we cover the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel , the Toyota Rav4 and the Fiat 500c Abarth . Two of the three are considered to be amazing, and two of the three are considered to be kinda terrible. Good luck figuring that out without watching the show.

For the news we start with the new Shelby-bodied Renovo supercar, and discuss whether or not this electric car deserves that supercar title. After that we move on to a BMW that is covered in bullet holes, a Corvette system that records your valet’s every move, and the return of the mid-engined Vette rumors. We also take just a second to touch on the possibility of Hyundai making a luxury SUV to compete with Lexus .

The Question and Answer segment of this show was pretty amazing thanks to some incredible questions from you guys. We talk about what kind of dream car we would build if we could put any engine and any interior inside of any other car’s body. We have some pretty varied responses. After that we talk about what cars we would buy if we only had $40k; the catch is we have those cars for the rest of forever. Finally we talk about some of VW’s greatest creations that they refuse to bring to US shores, and talk about why that is.

We finish things out in our traditional manner with an Own, Drive, Burn that features three limited run cars from the 1970s and 1980s. One of them is so awesome, it can go back in time.

Thanks again to everyone who listens and watches us banter about cars every week. We really appreciate you. Make sure to let us know if you like the show, and if there is anything we should change. We also need more questions and Own, Drive, Burn suggestions for every show, so keep those coming. You can reach us in the comments below, on Twitter @TopSpeedPodcast, or by email at Podcast@TopSpeed.com.

Have a great weekend, and we will see you next Thursday.

As always, we want to thank everyone who tuned in live for this week’s show. We hope everyone enjoyed it.

IF you missed the live show and want to catch up, just click the play button on the video or the audio feed here. If you want to make sure you never miss a show, you can subscribe to the feed on iTunes and get new episodes every week automatically.

In this week’s show we are down one man, as Mark is on vacation, but Justin and I held strong to deliver a great show without him.

For the Weekly Wheels segment we have the might Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X, the super-fast V-8 Miata “Elvis” and the track day special Exocet. It is quite the fun time. When we break into the real news we start with the Hellcat powered Charger and the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight. We then move on to video games with a full list of announcements from Forza and the team at Turn 10 Studios. This includes some new cars that have been added to Forza Motorsports 5 as well as a full roster update for the upcoming Forza Horizon 2. We finish out the news with a little talk about the Ferrari F12 at the Nurburgring and the eye-watering price tag of the Bentley Continental GT3-R.

We didn’t have any questions this week, so we just wrapped up the show with Own, Drive, Burn and a trio of very expensive two-doors.

Thanks for watching and listening. Don’t forget to leave us your questions and Own, Drive, Burn suggestions in the comments below. We hope everyone has a great weekend and we will see you next Thursday.

Well, the live show is over. A huge thanks goes out to everyone who tuned it and chatted with us. You guys make this even more fun. If you tuned in last week to take part in the fiasco that was my terrible Internet service, I apologize, but I am back this week. After our usual mildly hilarious intro issues, we move straight into the Weekly Wheels. You get to hear all about the new Toyota Corolla , the 2015 Buick LaCrosse and the brand-spanking new Lexus NX .

After weekly wheels we break straight into my epic trip to Colorado to drive a whole collection of amazing and modified Miatas at the Flyin’ Miata Summer Camp. From V-8s and turbocharged cars, to built and stroked naturally aspirated engines and race-bread kit cars, I drove all kinds on awesome things.

After I quit swooning over the multiple Miatas, we move into the news. We cover two upcoming BMW i models, the nearly 300-mph feud between Hennessey and Bugatti, and rumors of a 700-horsepower Infiniti. We also touch on the potential future of Cadillac and the rumors of a RWD flagship for the American brand.

The Question and Answer segment featured what cars we think are the most boring, as well as what we would buy for our own children when they are old enough to drive. Finishing our little shindig is Own, Drive, Burn in which we have to choose between special Aston Martin models.

Please let us know if you liked the show or not, any and all feedback is appreciated. As always, you can find us on iTunes if you want to subscribe to the audio feed. Have a safe weekend, and we will see you next Thursday.

Hey everyone, welcome to Episode 022 of the TopSpeed.com Podcast.
This week is a little weird, so let me start with an apology. I am traveling this week, and I have some pretty terrible internet. The result is that the first 10 minutes or so of the show is pretty laggy and hard to listen to. Thankfully we came up with an idea to fix it, and the show gets better. So, thanks for sticking with us, and sorry about the technical issues.

Once the show finally gets moving, we cover Weekly Wheels in which Mark discusses the Cadillac CTS and I talk about the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid . Sadly, Justin had no new toys last week.

For news we covered a lot of topics from the new CTS-V and the Ford Mustang SVT on the Nurburgring , to special one-off versions of the BMW i8 and the new Polaris Slingshot. A Corvette powered Darth Vader helmet and the death of the VW Eos also make an appearance.

We make our way over to viewer questions and take a minute to discuss what cars we are most looking forward to next year, and we talk about how well our wives can drive. That part got a little strange…

We finish out the show with a trio of James Bond cars in Own, Drive, Burn.

We want to thank everyone who stuck with us through the live show, and I would like to apologize again for the issues at the start of the show. Normal service will resume next week.

Have a safe week, and a wonderful weekend everyone.

Show’s over folks. I hope everyone who tuned in live enjoyed it. We again want to say a special thanks to all of our watchers and listeners. We do this thing for you, and we appreciate you giving us a bit of your time.

This week was a fun show. We celebrated hitting 21 episodes by cracking open some bottles of root beer soda, and then we discussed what we had each bought to drink. Once that is out of the way, we actually get into some car stuff and we cover the Weekly Wheels. Mark was driving the Lexus IS350 Convertible , Justin had a shiny new silver Miata , and I was bombing around all week in a blue Nissan Versa Note .

For the news stories we covered the testing and subsequent burning of the new Honda NSX at the Nurburgring , we talk about Elon Musk’s newest Tesla , and Justin talks a bit about an “affordable” Bentley coupe . We also spend a quick second talking about video games, and then Mark gets to go a little crazy with some truck talk involving a potential rival for the Ford Raptor and the new engine for the 2015 F150 .

Once we finish ranting about car news, we hit up the viewer questions. We talk about which is better, diesel or gas and why, and we go over some essential road-trip checks and packing supplies. Once we make it through that, we move to our signature Own, Drive, Burn in which we have to pick between three different historical Porsche models.

We hope you guys liked it, and we can’t wait to see you next week. As a side note, next week’s show will be on Wednesday. I hope to see you all there.

Don’t forget to leave us a comment with your questions or suggestions for Own, Drive, Burn, and please let us know what you think of the show and how we are doing. If you think there is something we can improve, please let us know. If you want to send us a longer comment, you can reach us by email at Podcast@TopSpeed.com. You could also follow us on Twitter @TopSpeedPodcast.

It is Thursday, and you know what that means; time to hang out with your three favorite petrol-heads!

Today Mark, Justin and I spend a lot of time talking about a lot of cars. Me and Mark talk about how awesome the Toyota Avalon can be, Justin and I then argue about the Kia K900 and equipment in cars, and wrap up with Mark talking about the very big and expensive GMC Yukon Denali .

When we move on, I talk about my week with the Miata. Spoiler: I think its freaking amazing and everyone should buy one. I also take some time to talk about how awesome other Miata owners seem to be.

When we finally get around to the news we take time to discuss the future collaboration of BMW and Toyota , the upcoming family of Cadillac s with V badges, and we even talk about a diesel-powered Audi R8 .

Viewer questions include the most beautiful car we have ever seen and advice on selling your own car. We finish with an Own, Drive, Burn segment that features three of the most expensive cars ever sold.

Thanks for watching and listening. You can reach us in the comments below, or find us on Twitter @TopSpeedPodcast. If you prefer, you can reach us by email at Podcast@TopSpeed.com

See everyone next week!

It was a day early, but we hope you enjoyed this week’s episode of the TopSpeed Podcast . There was the usual bit of silliness, a fair amount of arguing and we even managed to talk about some car stuff.

As always, we want to say a very special thanks to our live viewers.

For Weekly Wheels, I discuss my time with the Prius V , Mark talks to us about what he thinks I got wrong with the Lexus RX 450h , and Justin tells us how much he liked the new 2015 Honda Fit .

For news stories we cover the new fourth-generation Miata engine and reveal date, talk about Mercedes bringing back the Maybach name, and we cover our exclusive news of Kahn Design moving into car production.

After that we spend some time with Mark talking about the 100-year anniversary of Dodge , how they are celebrating with a 707 horsepower Challenger, and end with a look at the future of the rock-crawling Jeep Wrangler . To finish the news, I had a few things to say about a faster Alfa Romeo 4C and looked at how you can buy a cheap Porsche Boxster or Cayman next summer.

For our viewer-question segment we talk about cars that can do epic burnouts, cars we want to see do epic burnouts and then we talk about racing video games. With the video games we take a second to look at our all-time favorite games and touch on the games that are coming out in the next six to nine months. There is even a sneak peak at a new piece I am working on.

To end the show we do our traditional Own, Drive, Burn and it was easily the hardest one we had yet. We have to choose between a legendary classic Porsche , Ferrari and Lamborghini .

If you liked the show, let us know in the comments. If you didn’t like the show, let us know that too. Apart from the comments, you can reach us on Twitter @TopSpeedPodcast or by email, Podcast@TopSpeed.com. Don’t forget, if you like the show but can’t always make it the to site to watch or listen, you can subscribe to our cast on iTunes.

Stay safe this weekend, and we will see you guys next week.

We hope everyone enjoyed the show! A special big thanks goes out to our live viewers and commentators. You make the show even more enjoyable.

This week is crammed full of crazy and wild stuff, and we start things off with a bang. Right after introductions we talk about my upcoming trip to Colorado to drive some V-8 powered Miatas. We then jump straight into the Weekly Wheels segment where Justin talks about his time with the spacious Kia Sorento . Spoiler alert: he really liked it. We kept the SUV theme going with my talk about the Lexus RX 450h . You get a good explanation about why I was so hard on the thing in my review. We finish with Mark’s thoughts on the Prius .

If you think this list is a bit boring, I have a brand new Miata coming soon, so that will be in next-week’s podcast.

For the news, we start with the somber news of the tragedy at Pikes Peak. To keep from depressing everyone on this Thursday we move to Mark’s trip to the Hyundai manufacturing plant in Alabama. From there we move to the insanity that is a 700 horsepower Challenger. There is lots of grunting and yelling of ’Merica in that segment.

To finish out the news, we do a mad dash through a pile of Goodwood news including the new Focus ST , the McLaren 650s GT3 and Nissan’s new hill climb record.

We finish the show up with a few questions from the viewers that range from how to buy a used car, to how to escape rapid soccer fans. We also look at the future of the Focus RS and the next-generation Miata .

The last piece of the show is Own, Drive, Burn and we have a large Mercedes , an armored personnel carrier and a monster truck. This whole show was full of awesome and crazy.

If you have questions for us, or if you have suggestions for Own, Drive, Burn, just drop them in comments, or hit us up on the Twitter @TopSpeedPodcast . You can also send us an email to Podcast@TopSpeed.com.

Have a safe weekend and we will see you next Thursday.

Hello everyone, it is your favorite day of the week, TopSpeed Podcast day!

Join us for today’s show where we have lots of crazy cars to talk about from topless and one-off Ferraris to a 567 horsepower Jag and Audi’s newest superwagon . We have lots Subaru and Toyota news involving the future of the GT86 twins, and we will probably spend some time arguing about a few other things.

To start the show, you get to hear Justin’s impressions of the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in Weekly Wheels, and I plan on discussing the strange experience that was driving the Mercedes Sprinter van in Gumball. We don’t have a Mark this week, he is off with Hyundai checking out some new cars for you fine people to read about later.

Of course we have a few viewer questions to answer, and we are also going to be Own, Drive, Burn. Tune in to catch all the crazy action, and as always we have an audio version up on the site and on iTunes for those of you who prefer to do without video. Although this week’s video is pretty entertaining to see.

Thanks for watching!
