Toyota will launch hybrid Auris this autumn
 
Toyota is preparing to launch a hybrid version of the Auris hatchabck this autumn. It will be powered by the same petrol-electric drivetrain as the new Prius, but it will be priced less than the Prius. The lower weight and smaller size could make the Auris hybrid Toyota’s cleanest model when it is launched at this autumn’s Frankfurt show, undercutting the new Prius’s 87g/km of CO2. Next to the hybrid Auris, Toyota will also launch a hybrid RAV4.
Toyota introduces Auris SR and TR
After the launch of the Auris SR180, the Japanese automaker introduces new SR models powered by the 1.6 Dual VVT-i petrol and 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel engines. This new version of the Toyota Auris features 17 inch alloy wheels, lowered suspension, rear spoiler but also dark-tinted privacy glass. Toyota did not forget about the safety of its cars and due to this the vehicle comes with nine airbags, front fog lamps but also leather-trimmed steering wheels, climate control air conditioning and six-speaker sound system. Toyota Auris - five starts from EURO NCAP
Euro NCAP today confirmed that the new Toyota Auris has been awarded a maximum five-star rating for adult occupant protection in its safety crash test evaluation. Auris scored 100% on side impact and pole crash tests to gain a total adult safety score of 35, the highest in the class. Auris also joins the class leaders in small family cars with four-stars for child occupant protection and three-stars in the relatively new assessment for pedestrian safety. TRD is presenting a new body kit for the Toyota Auris and also a complete spring kit, an antiroll bar, 17" rims and exhaust. TRD did not touched for now, but this kit is a true piece of art, and probably TRD has something up their sleeve to transform this Auris into a true rocket.
