The Toyota Yaris SR 1.8 is a new flagship model for the Yaris range, bringing sports performance, style and refinement to a car that’s already a leader in terms of safety, equipment and comfort. It is powered by a new 1.8-litre petrol engine with Dual VVT-i technology and benefits from sports-tuned steering and suspension, a striking body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels and a premium equipment specification that offers more in terms of comfort and convenience features than any of its segment rivals. Add to that Yaris’s class-leading safety performance, with a five-star Euro NCAP adult passenger safety rating and a unique-in-class standard-fit driver’s knee airbag and you have a formidable all-round package.
With the 60/40 seatbacks up, the sedan’s specious trunk offers nearly 14 cu.-ft. of capacity, and folding the seatbacks expands that to 25.7 cu.-ft. Like the Yaris Liftback, the Sedan is equipped with rear seating for 3 with headrests in each seating position. Standard on the Yaris S and available on the Sedan are 60/40 folding rear seatbacks with a fold-down center armrest and cupholder.
The new Yaris TS is a flagship model for the highly successful Toyota Yaris range, offering customers enjoyable sports performance with no compromise on refinement or driveability. The Yaris TS is designed to head up the range with high level of standard equipment, great open road driving characteristics and sporty, yet sophisticated styling. And, just like the new-generation Toyota Yaris on which it is based, the Yaris TS offers exceptional space, refinement, safety and comfort in a car of this class.
As stated by Jim Lentz, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager "the Yaris has been a hit in Europe and Toyota is looking forward to its debut in the U.S. As Toyota’s most affordable passenger car, the Yaris features modern exterior styling and a surprising and upscale interior. It is one of the most economic and youthful passenger cars Toyota has built."
