Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. is showcasing their Yaris with a fully integrated urban campaign encompassing the true spirit of the Hip Hop movement. Pictured here are the first photos of Toyota’s soon to be mini fighter the Toyota Yaris RS, courtesy of Car Magazine. The RS stand for “refined and sporting” and Toyota intends to bring”sportiness” back into its small car lineup with the Yaris RS.

The Toyota Yaris SR 1.8 is a new flagship model for the Yaris range, bringing sports performance, style and refinement to a car that’s already a leader in terms of safety, equipment and comfort. It is powered by a new 1.8-litre petrol engine with Dual VVT-i technology and benefits from sports-tuned steering and suspension, a striking body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels and a premium equipment specification that offers more in terms of comfort and convenience features than any of its segment rivals. Add to that Yaris’s class-leading safety performance, with a five-star Euro NCAP adult passenger safety rating and a unique-in-class standard-fit driver’s knee airbag and you have a formidable all-round package.


Turbo Modellista is based on the Japan-only Yaris RS and is set to go on sale in its home market in the next few months. It is powered by a a 1.5-litre engine turbocharged by Toyota’s in-house tuner, Modellista, and Toyota Racing Devel Devel opment (TRD). Power is increased by 40bhp to 150bhp at 6,000rpm, and with 196Nm of torque, the newcomer should cover 0-60mph in less than eight seconds on its way to a 135mph top speed. The Limited Edition Toyota Yaris Superman was launch in Jakarta and it comes only in Superman blue and natch. Inside, the comic book dream continues with blue seats and S-shields on the steering wheel, floor mats, handbrake, shifter and even on the tissue box. With the 60/40 seatbacks up, the sedan’s specious trunk offers nearly 14 cu.-ft. of capacity, and folding the seatbacks expands that to 25.7 cu.-ft. Like the Yaris Liftback, the Sedan is equipped with rear seating for 3 with headrests in each seating position. Standard on the Yaris S and available on the Sedan are 60/40 folding rear seatbacks with a fold-down center armrest and cupholder.

Toyota Motor and News Corp.’s Fox network plan to announce that they have cut an extensive deal for the auto company to sponsor — and be featured in — a spinoff series for mobile phones of the hit drama "Prison Break."
