Press release after the jump. Press release The Toyota/Billabong Ultimate Venza makes its debut at the 2009 SEMA Show. Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. teamed with Billabong and Street Image to create the perfect active sports vehicle that you could take to the beach, lake, mountains, skate park or anywhere in between and have a blast. The Ultimate Venza will be used to support top extreme athletes at future competitions. Modifying a Venza to meet the needs of extreme athletes was a natural fit. Its vast interior space, versatility, utility and comfort make it a perfect vehicle for people with active lifestyles. Street Image also installed a front and rear hitch receiver and Grinch Winch to pull wake boarders into waves or snow boarders and skaters across flat land to a jump or rail. Finally, large Enkei wheels with Nitto tires and a Toyota Racing Development (TRD) big brake kit were added to provide superior traction and stopping power when driving off the beaten path or to the beach. Additional Ultimate Venza interior modifications include “living” features that will allow the athletes to conduct many everyday endeavors while on the go or at competition sites. Among the “living” features located in the rear cargo area is a custom heated shower system with a 10 gallon capacity for rinsing off after surfing. The Toyota/Billabong Ultimate Venza Concept will be the official Billabong Team vehicle for use by surf, snow, skate and wake athletes. It will also be used in the Billabong Adventure Division to tow personal watercraft during wave excursions and will be the official Billabong tow vehicle for their wake team. The one-of-a-kind Venza will also be displayed at Billabong surf contests and camps from coast to coast. 13 comments: Toyota/Billabong Ultimate Venza Concept Perfectly done concept! I like the pugnacious color combinations f black with logo of Billabong with a neon green army-like accent.
why does Subaru think it a good idea to pitch the Legacy right back, as an also-ran against Toyota’s Camry, rather than keeping it what it was, a value-priced alternative to the Audi A4 .I guess. Heaven forbid Subaru keep a niche brand identity, and really do it well, and leave the appliances for the masses to much bigger Toyota.
I’ve read that this custom roof rack was designed and installed to accommodate surf, snow and wake boards.
well toyota should already put this on the production, But for sure they’ll make it a Limited Edition, but who cares? as long as they sell it with right price i wont hesitate to have my reservation to it.
made to support those active lifestyles automotive marketing types are always pushing. This rig has racks for surfboards, snowboards, wakeboards and there is even somewhere for old-fashioned skis.
This thing will never make it to production - it’s just to see how people will react to the basic idea, not the car.
where is the ground clearence on this thing if you want go anywhere the fjcruiser is your choice or the Wrangler if you want a sporty suv with go anywhere get a porsche cayenne or a BMW X5 Concept cars are almost always ugly. So the only good thing that we can hope about this is to make sure that this car won’t push into production.
The more extreme an athllete can be, I’m expecting that the more they are conscious on how their car would look like. Such a shame that Billabong allowed Toyota to carry their name with this ugly concept car.
No, I wouldn’t bring this car to anywhere but home. The nose is too big, too wide. There have to be a balance between performance and looks.
This is the kind of car that you’d say, "it’s the thought that counts." If Toyota say that it would be perfect to bring anyone to beach, lake, mountains, skate park or anywhere in between, then the horrible looks that doesn’t bother me anymore.
