Tushek T600

Tushek T600

Slovenia isn’t particularly known for anything other than mythical dragons and breathtaking scenery. But one supercar startup is determined to put the country on the map as far as the auto industry is concerned with the unveiling of the T600.

Tushek has been making waves for a few years now, beginning at the 2012 Top Marques Monaco where it unveiled the Renovatio T500 , an impressive looking sports car whose aggressive aesthetics finely complemented the Audi RS4-sourced 4.2-liter, V-8 engine under its body. That allowed the Renovatio T500 to produce 450 horsepower at 7,900 rpm and a peak torque of 315 pound-feet of torque at 3,200 rpm, and hit 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds to go with a top speed of 192 mph.

It was impressive, but not more than another model it has under development: the Forego T700 , which predictably carries 700 horsepower.

But now, Tushek has the T600, its third model that was introduced recently at the 2014 Top Marques Monaco. Essentially, the T600 is an updated version of the T500, albeit one that comes with a lot of new components to justify its status as its own model. For one, the car’s chassis was built using a combination of carbon and titanium, two materials that are normally associated with high-priced exotics. At least Tushek understood what it needed to use to be taken seriously.

More importantly, the 2,470-pound T600 will feature its own V-8 engine, producing 620 horsepower and presumably around 400 pound-feet of torque. Given its relatively modest weight, that translates to an incredible 4-to-1 pound:horsepower ratio. Its not the Koenigsegg One:1 by any stretch of the imagination, but for a model belonging to a startup company, that’s an incredibly impressive achievement in its own right.

Power is not all the T600 offers either, as its chassis allows it to hold a massive 1.8 G on a skid pad.

Hopefully, we learn more details about the Tushek T600 sooner than later because judging from the few details we do know, this Slovenian speedster looks completely legitimate.
