Tushek cars

Slovenia has never had its very own true supercar, and despite Oliver Ashley’s best efforts to create the K1 Attack Roadster for the small European nation a few years back, no such car existed until Aljosa Tushek from Tushek Supercars showed up.

Using the K1 Attack as a donor car of sorts, Tushek Supercars redesigned the car inside and out with the largest change being the upgrade to the engine. Where the K1 Attack featured a tiny 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Honda Civic Type R sourced engine producing 250hp, the recently launched Renovatio T500 packs the same 4.2 liter V8 engine as the Audi RS4 and therefore delivers 450hp at 7,900 rpm and 315lb-ft of torque at just 3,200 rpm.

Tipping the scales at just over 2,200 pounds, the T500 can hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, up a top speed of 192 mph. In the latest Autocar test, they took this lightweight supercar for a spin to see just how good the car really is.

To our surprise, the result seems to be quite good considering this is the very first car produced by Tushek Tushek . Furthermore, the test vehicle was only a prototype, but if Tushek aims to turn the T500 into the world’s greatest supercar, then it better be good straight from the get-go.

Sound interesting? Well, check out the video, but before you get out your checkbook, keep in mind that the T500 will cost over $450,000!

The Lamborghini Aventador’s newest rival will hail from...

We’ll give you a few seconds to mull this one over. Could it be Italy? Maybe Japan? China, India, Germany? Heck, maybe even Korea? Nope, this new beast will hail from all 7,827 square miles of the Republika Slovenjia, Slovenia to us English speakers.

Little known and fairly new supercar manufacturer, Tushek Supercars, recently revealed its all new 444-horsepower, Audi-powered Renovatio T500 at the Top Marques in Monaco, but that’s not the big news. The big news is this developing supercar manufacturer’s future plans of annihilating the all-mighty Aventador .

After Tushek completes its estimated 30 Renovatio T500 production models, it will turn its focus to the Forego T700 – yeah, weird name, huh. Tushek has some fairly lofty goals for this machine, including a sub-1,000 KG (2,204 pounds) curb weight, more than 700 bhp, and a gut-checking 3.3 lateral Gs (the average human can handle just 5 Gs).

This would place this new supercar squarely in the lead, when compared to the Aventador, in the all-important pounds-per-horsepower rating, as the T700’s rating would be about 3.14 pounds per horsepower and the Lambo’s rating is 4.96 pounds per horsepower. On a small scale that looks like a tiny difference, but in the grand scheme of things, that difference is humongous.

By our rough guess-timation, the Renovatio T700 would range in the 2-second area from 0 to 60 mph, about 0.8 seconds faster than the Aventador. The most impressive stat is the 3.3 lateral Gs that this car is expected to handle, as the Aventador can only handle 1.05 Gs on the skid pad.

We tend to take this all with a big grain of salt, as this is purely speculation by a company spokesperson at Tushek Tushek . Chances are that this car, if it makes it to production, will be about on the same level as the Aventador and it will not hold 3.3 Gs. There is no way that any production car can handle that amount of force.

It is still unknown if Tushek plans to sell this model in the U.S., but we are certain that some savvy buyers can get it here somehow when it arrives in 2013.

If you’re wondering why this car looks familiar, the answer is very simple: because it is based on the K1 Attack Roadster unveiled by Oliver Ashley back in 2010. Ashley had his chance to bring Slovania on the super car map, but now Aljosa Tushek Tushek from Tushek Supercars has taken the K1 Attack and morphed it into the Renovatio T500, or as they call it "the ultimate supercar."

While the standard K1 Attack is powered by a 250 HP Honda Civic Type R 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, the Renovatio T500 is powered by an Audi RS4 sourced 4.2 liter V8 engine that delivers a total of 450 HP at 7900 rpm and a peak torque of 315 lb-ft at 3200 rpm. As a result, the car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and to 124 mph in 11.5 seconds. Top speed goes up to 192 mph.

The Tushek Renovation T500 will sit on a new set of 19" aluminum forged wheels with center locking and will come standard with a detachable storable hardtop, an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, adjustable pedals and steering column, adjustable seats in length, carbon ceramic brakes, power steering, power brakes, and extra 4 point seatbelts for track use.

The Tushek Renovatio T500 will debut at the 2012 Top Marques Monaco Show which starts on April 19, 2012.

UPDATE 08/16/12: Tushek Supercars has new photos of the Renovatio T500, which you can check out in the gallery below! Enjoy, peeps!
