In today’s world of digital technology, it seems that - now more than ever – there’s an increasing number of young designers that are slowly getting into digital car design.
With the advent of computer softwares that specialize on virtual design, young students like Niels van Roij have been given the opportunity to showcase their works beyond their own classrooms. As part of his final project at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Roij squeezed juices to come up wth a design proposal for a new TVR sports car.
Calling his creation the ‘TVR Artemis’ - if you know your mythology, Artemis is the goddess of hunt, childbirth, virginity and fertility - Roij created a sports car that comes with a clean and sleek design. Unlike other car designs that we’ve seen in the past that have the propensity to go over-the-top, Roij’s design doesn’t lend itself to exaggerated styling gimmicks and instead sticks to a clean and classy look that maintains the standard design of what a TVR sports car looks like.
We don’t know if TVR is willing to pick up Roij’s design for the Artemis, but if the struggling British sports car maker is looking to bring in fresh ideas to their fold, then taking Roij’s styling into consideration might not be that bad of an idea.

Earlier this week we received news from TVR stating that they will start building the slightly updated version of the TVR Sagaris series 2 by end of this year.
The TVR car company builds the car they want to give you with out doing consumer research. Later when the car does not live up to your expectations TVR promises to fix in future models without fallowing thru.
The TVR Sagaris is affordable comparing with other super cars, but such power do not comes cheap. You must have a deep pocket to run it. The TVR production numbers are small and servicing it might hit you hard. The Sagaris is also thirsty on fuel with an average consumption of more than 15 l/100 km.
Unfortunately the TVR ignores all the safety equipment and electronic driving aids to bridle an awesome power of the Sagaris. It comes with no airbags, traction or stability control at all. Anti-lock brakes with vented discs, a couple of seatbelts and a leather-bonded roll cage are the only safety measures. Security list has got only an alarm and an immobilizer, but it is obviously not enough for a car with such price tag.
TVR will never be able sell its cars all over Europe or in America because it lacks in safety features compare to the other car companies for that reason it will never be global player in the sport car market.
Earlier today we reported that TVR announced it will start building an updated version of the Sagaris by the end of 2008. Car magazine reveals today the first images of the 2009 Sagaris series 2. The sports car will debut next week.
The Sagaris 2 will be powered by the same 380bhp 4.0-litre ’Speed Six’ as before, capable of revving to nearly 8000rpm and spitting you down the road on your way to 60mph in just 3.7sec. Top speed will be around 160mph.
The new Sagaris 2 would go on sale in early 2009.
During a very secret event, the British automaker TVR, revealed its new updated version of the Sagaris and officially announced to start building it by the end of 2008. The new model will feature a revised suspension set-up and steering system for improved handling. Also the interior will suffer some changes, a new air-conditioning system, new carpets and an updated center console. There is an important element which remains the same and that is the car’s straight-six engine which 380hp and 349lb-ft of torque from its 4.0L of displacement.
The TVR’s officials are planning to start the first sales for the new Sagaris early ext year and they also have scheduled some other models. Nothing is known for sure in terms of prices but the rumors go around €85,000m with expectations of running up. The car will be available in both RHD and LHD configurations and will be sold in the Middle East and Europe as well as the UK, initially.
