Varley Electric Vehicles evR450

The whole world is going electric or hybrid , at least they plan to when all the kinks have been worked out, so it shouldn’t be at all surprising that the automakers of the world have hit the ground running with new technology. Even Australia is getting in on the action, and a small company by the name of Varley Electric is getting its turn. This automaker has just unveiled their evR450 - the first Australian electric supercar - at the 3rd annual Australian Electric Vehicle Conference.

The evR450 is powered by two locally sourced Ultramotive electric motors, each with 210 HP and 385 lb-ft of torque for a total output of 420 HP and 770 lb-ft of torque. This setup will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, while top speed will be limited to 124 mph.

The electric motors will take their power from lithium-ion batteries that will ensure an autonomy range of 93 miles, but this can be extended to 186 miles with a range-extension package.

The new evR450 will go on sale in January 2012 and will be priced at around $210K.

The headlights seem pale and simple. I think they need to do more facelifts with this car to be more attractive and fascinating.

I was really amused with this Electric car. I am a big fan of economy cars that uses electrical power engine. I love everything!

Haven’t heard a new update about this car and it is 2012 now. I like the design of it but it is not that impressive knowing that this is an electric car. I will still stay on the side of the right engine.

I like the concept varley Electric Vehicles,it really looks so striking on its platform and on its yellow body paint. Plus the engine choice is the feature that I really like in a car.

I wonder if what are the other great and awesome features that this electric vehicle can offer? Anyway, it really looks so striking on its platform and on its yellow body paint.

I just noticed that all electric vehicles are all too expensive, and I wonder why? Anyway, I have to agree that this car is absolutely looks so great most specially in its body paint.

I would really love to see in person the speed performance of this one, and I have to agree that this electric vehicle is absolutely looks so awesome on its platform and on that body paint.

For the fact that this Vehicle is in an electric motor, I bet this will go to be too expensive! Anyway, it looks good on its body paint, but I’m not so fond with the platform design of this car.
