Volkswagen GTI Tuner Challenge
 
At SEMA Volkswagen had 3 spots in total to show off their cars. Two spots were taken by Volkswagen’s own R GTI and Thunder Bunny and they decided to give the third one up to a tuner worthy of the spot. Volkswagen handed out some GTIs to a number of tuners. Among them were ABD, APR, H&R and WRD, while Neuspeed got a Rabbit and attempted to recreate its original Thunder Bunny concept. Volkswagen GTI and Eos - Autobytel’s best for 2007
In its annual Editors’ Choice Awards, Autobytel selected the Volkswagen GTI and all-new Eos as the Best New Performance Car Under $40,000 and Best New Convertible Under $75,000, respectively. The first-ever Grand Prix for promotions was presented at the Cannes International Advertising Festivato Crispin, Porter + Bogusky for a viral-marketing campaign for Volkswagen of America.
