1955 - 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

The Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia was manufactured for almost twenty years - from 1955 to 1974 - with only minor changes to its design. This is an achievement that few other automobiles in its class can claim.

With a total of 360,000 coupés and approximately 80,000 convertibles produced, the Karmann-Ghia was also a commercial success, both in Europe and the USA.

At the present time, approximately 3,500 Karmann-Ghias are still believed to be registered in Germany.

Despite its beautiful, sporty exterior, there is nothing but simple VW-beetle engineering beneath the Karmann-Ghia’s hood. Such technology makes it robust, but at approximately 43 hp, it cannot be called a sports car. However, thanks to its light weight (1851 lbs) and aerodynamic design, it is fast enough for everyday purposes. Thus even today many Karmann-Ghias can still achieve maximum speeds of 93 mph - assuming that they still possess the original beetle motor.

Based from all that i see different cars, for me it is the oldest form of
car to this generation. But in help of modern technologies or modern devices, the old volkswagen become an expensive car
like other famous car. It become more comfortable and it has also a dashing extreme looks. But it cant be included in
the most fastest car in this world. For me it is like an ordinary car that has good looks but has no very high speed
limit.

I really want to see this in person, well this Ghia is really impressed me, it is the best example for a masculine car.

I was reading a book about the History of the Karmann Ghia, that one of the purpose of creating this car was to attrack women in to buying sporty looking car. looks only no speed.
