Volkswagen may have debuted the Bluesport sports car concept back in 2009 with hopes of producing it under the VW brand, but we highly doubt that anyone really planned on seeing it live and in production form. Then after the company announced it would shelf the concept until people started buying cars again, we thought it would be left there collecting dust until it was primed and ready to be published in a book of concepts that never stood a chance. Nevertheless, plans for the BlueSport are still in the works and graphic designer, "Steel Drake," has taken the opportunity to preview Volkswagen’s future sports car. His rendition screams, "I’m the Audi R8’s forgotten younger brother," but Drake made sure to throw in his personal influence to differentiate it. Of course, that just left us with a front end that looks like it’s melting off, concave curves oddly place at the front of the doors, and the matching droopy taillights at the back. He did throw in some LED lights to try to balance the quirkiness with some normalcy, but that may have been a wasted attempt. We don’t see this concept ever making it to the Volkswagen drawing table with their stamp of approval, but it does open the doors to what changes Volkswagen could make in order for their new sports car to compete in a populated segment. Ball’s in your court, Volkswagen. Show us what you got. .
20 comments: Volkswagen Concept Sports Car by Steel Drake Absolutely, no doubt, Volkswagen has leveled-up with this concept. The melting looks of the bumper, and the blinding light of the LED headlamps is really impressive. I hope Volkswagen is eager enough to prove that they can make this into perfection.
 I’m not really into a futuristic vehicle but with this one, I would admit that it truly caught my attention and interest, specifically the technology that it can offer. Well, I will surely wait for this.
 Seriously, is it really the final outlook of this sports car? I just noticed that its front design is looked like a drawing only.  Anyway, what’s the engine specification of it?
 I love the hygienic appearance of this concept, and it is really oozing with angst and aggressiveness, but I’m quite wondering on its interior features.
 The front design of this Concept Sports Car is oozing with angst, and they are right that it had some unique touch. Moreover, I’m also curious on its interior features. I just hope that it’s quite impressive either.
 This concept is kind of unique and I notice that the back of it seems too huge. Even the front headlights seem so much angst. I’m just wonder on its figure performance and if Volkswagen had any plan to put this one on market production or its debut.
 I don’t know what to say on this one. All I can say is it has a beautiful design for a sports car. The performance is not yet confirmed, and I also don’t know who are its main competitions. Well, I wonder why top speed still doesn’t have any press release about this one. Is it because it is still a concept?
 Well, I guess this is one of the pointless and useless productions in the world of sportscar. I think it would be better if they modified and upgrade the BlueSport then built a production version for this car instead of making a newer concept.
 No wonder why this car doesn’t make it to the production. I don’t think that the edginess of the car can offer a high speed performing vehicle. I really don’t want to see a production version for this car.
