2011 Volkswagen Touareg Gold Edition Study

The Qatar Motor Show doesn’t exactly have many followers in the auto world, at least compared to some of the much bigger shows opening their doors in January, but this year’s show actually featured a lot of cool cars worthy of some attention. One of those models is the Volkswagen Touareg Gold Edition, which as you may have guessed, carries with it a 24-carat gold upgrade for many of its components.

The Touareg Gold Edition study is painted in "Magic Morning" white combined with splashes of gold found in the 22" wheels, roof rails, protective guard strips, and window frames. Other elements given the golden touch are the mirror caps, parts of the air intake frame, the "Touareg V8" signature, and boot sill trim.

The interior of the Volkswagen also combines a "Luna" trim color with differed 24-carat gold insertions. The seats are covered in Nappa leather and the roof liner in Alcantara, while the dashboard is trimmed in a natural brown leather with contrasting seams in a "Magnolia" color. Natural brown with leather inserts in "Luna" adorn the floor mats. Automotive craftsmanship at its finest is reflected in the Walnut Burr accents with genuine gold marquetry – also crafted into an ornamental pattern.

the rims, looks stunning the interior is quite impressive

The gold trimming truly adds attraction to this vehicle. I am not so impressed
with its platform, but I like its interior set up.

They add too many add ons on this Toureg that is very unnecessary and makes look as an over designed car, but I must admit that the interior is quite impressive.

I just simply love the classy and luxurious interior of this Touareg, and I must say that, for some reason, I’m not so impressed on its exterior detailing, specifically on its gold lines.

The gold trimmings are really awesome except on the wheels, I found it over designed. Well just like them I am either looking forward for other latest update news about it.

Well, I like the gold insertions they add on the car, but I think, it will add to the car’s
weight but still I like it. However, we need more updates on this one. I hope it can be put in
production soon.

I like this car

I really don’t like this version of the Touareg. It has too many unnecessary add ons, though the gold trimmings look good. I still prefer the standard Touareg.

I am now willing to see what the precious metal-packed SUV has to offer.

Russian clients also have a possibility to buy Touareg V8 FSI. But it’s not popular because 4X Motion transmission is not available for this engine.
