While we were all expecting to see the convertible version of the new generation Beetle at the 2012 Chicago Motor Show in February, Volkswagen has decided to keep us waiting a little bit longer and are bringing a TDI version for the coupe instead. The new Beetle TDI will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four cylinder engine that will deliver about 140 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional DSG transmission. This setup will deliver up to 50 mpg, making the new TDI version the most economical Beetle ever. Volkswagen has yet to announce whether or not the new engine will be offered in the upcoming Beetle Cabrio, but we’ll be on the lookout for any new details. Updated 06/11/2012: Volkswagen has announced today prices for the new Beetle TDI - the third model in the Beetle lineup. The model is on sale at a price of $23,295 for the manual version and $24,395 for the automatic one.  It’s a beetle in glossy red. I’m sure that the beetle car owners will be more hungry with this teasing beetle. It looks so cool.
 I can’t wait to see the new generation of convertible of Beetle at Chicago Auto show. I hope it was also combined with good engine.
 This Volkswagen Beetle comes up with their latest beetle craze. This is the most economical beetle in the making. Powered by its 2.0-liter turbo diesel and a four cylinder creates a 140HP. Amazing huh.
 What a surprise! I was too eager for that convertible, but now, I am more excited for this coupe to be seen on 2012 Chicago Auto Show. Waiting for more photos of this car!
