Press release

For sport-passionate car owners, Volvo is now offering a once-in-a-lifetime station wagon: the Volvo V70 T6 AWD R-Design by HEICO SPORTIV. The most powerful model ever offered by Volvo in Germany unleashes a staggering 325 bhp (239 kW). The limited special edition of just 100 vehicles will go on sale in summer 2010 and be available exclusively in the color metallic sapphire black.

With a recommended retail price is EUR 70,193.00 (incl. 19% VAT), the special edition Volvo V70 T6 was realized with tuning specialist HEICO SPORTIV, a company with over 20 years’ experience in tuning and improving the performance of exclusive Volvo models and since 2008 official partner of Volvo Car Germany GmbH. Besides its impressive engine performance and extremely sporty handling characteristics, the one-off model captivates with many exclusive interior and exterior design novel-ties.

The new Volvo V70 T6 AWD R-Design by HEICO SPORTIV is based on the series model with the adapted 304 bhp (224 kW) 6-cylinder straight-type turbo gasoline engine from Volvo. The vehicle’s tuning to 325 bhp (239 kW) and a maximum torque of 460 Nm, available in an rpm range of 2,100 to 4,200 min-1, was implemented using HEICO SPORTIV e.motion technology. HEICO SPORTIV e.motion stands for “efficiency in motion” and describes a supplementary engine control unit including enhanced engine management.

Thanks to this technical upgrade, customers benefit from perceptible performance improvement and apparently limit-less power reserves. For perfect traction on any terrain, the high-performance station wagon is fitted serially with permanent all-wheel drive (AWD). A six-gear automatic gearbox with geartronic function provides for transmission.

HEICO sport suspension and exclusive design elements

The HEICO sport suspension, shock absorbers and springs and 30mm lowering additionally provide for outstanding sporty handling. It looks so simple but still kind of appealing. I would love to see the whole interior features of this car, I hope that they would display either the pictures of it.

It looks very classy and sophisticated on its glossy paint and in spite of having only a simple detailing, it still looks so appealing and awesome for me.

I honestly don’t found it impressive on its platform design, it is simple but kind of appealing for me. I would love to see the interior features of this car, I hope that they would display the pictures of it.

Well, I must say that it looks so cool on its black body paint, but I am hoping that it can also offer an impressive and comfortable interior feature either a nice speed performance.

It looks like a simple limousine. smiley This customized station wagon seems so interesting and impressive, but I am just wondering if it is also having an impressive or entertaining interior.

I have seen a Volvo car running down in the street and I would say that I really like the decency of its styling though the body is kind of longer and it makes the vehicle to look like a hearse.

I really hate the platform of the station wagon and its being a longer wheel base. However, the speed performance of the car is kind of impressive. The AWD design on the vehicle will surely makes the interior wider.

I think it might look a little less jarring in a more neutral colour—silver or metallic grey (or even the XC60’s brown). I don’t know why Volvo insists on pushing this colour. Sure some might love it but I’m sure it’s leaving a bad first impression on a good number of possible buyers.

volvo just needs to bring the R models back there is a demand for them by just looking at this car but that price, maybe if it had 400hp+ and 0-60 at 4.9 or 5 seconds

I agree, that’s a lot of additional coin for minimal gains. They should shorten the production run to 10 units, at least that way some people (not sure who exactly) will pay the excessive price tag for the uber-exclusivity.

I hope they can sell well over the marke. But to be honest, the wagons really don’t sell well.

better to use it as a hoarse.. hehehe just kidding..

lovely design but IMO i like the older v70’s design more..

not bad, but to be honest i really don’t impressed with it’s looks and design..

nah another limited edition. Volvo is punishing their customers on ordering a unit.
