Many of you likely have no clue what or who Wiesmann is and to be honest, we had to look them up too. Hailing from Germany and known for putting out some of the most unique-looking and rare supercars on the planet Earth, Wiesmann is obviously not a manufacturer to be taken lightly. And when it is set to debut a new model, we had all better take notice.

Wiesmann’s newest addition to its lineup will be the GT MF4-CS, which made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. According to the Germany-based automaker->ke1344 automaker, the new GT MF-4 CS combines "measurable performance-oriented motorsport on the one hand and a car that can also be driven on public roads on the other hand." If the name looks familiar to you Wiesmann enthusiasts, it should, as it released the GT MF4-S back in 2009 and this is the club sport variant of said model, hence the “CS.”

The GT MF4-CS will be limited to only 25 units, so get your checkbooks ready! To get it you will have to pay a total of 193,193.28€- or about $250,000 at the current exchange rates.

Pros
Cons

Exterior

The new GT MF4-CS model will be immediately recognized as a Wiesmann. It gets the usual elements we have seen on all the other models announced by the German automaker, including: a wide wheel arch, modified front end with large splitter, daytime running lights and a carbon rear wing.

The model received a series of elements that helped reduce the car's weight by 20 kg (44 pounds). These elements include a roof made in carbon fiber, super-light polycarbonate windows and the lack of door handles.

Interior

For the interior, the new CS model receives sport bucket seats and, in order to save even more weight, customer can opt for no air conditioning or audio system.

Wiesmann also offers an optional carbon pack or a track pack that adds four point harness, sport brake pads and Michelin Cup tires.

Drivetrain

Under the hood, the new GT MF4-CS receives a BMW-sourced V-8 engine that delivers a total of 420 horsepower. The model will go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 182 mph.

Suspensions and brakes

For increased protection at high speeds, the MF4-CS is equipped with a fully adjustable chassis that adapts to road conditions and driving style.

The maker also offers sports brakes and a specially tailored rear axle ratio for faster acceleration.

Prices

The new Wiesmann is priced at €193,193.28 (about $250,000 at the current exchange rates). It will be limited to only 25 units.

Competitors

The new Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is at a big disadvantage, as it is not the most beautiful car available in its class, so finding a right competitor for it can be pretty challenging. Still, for the same money you can get cars that are both more powerful and better looking than the new MF4-CS.

Rolls Royce Ghost

The Rolls Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-12 engine that delivers a total of 563 horsepower and it is priced at $245,000. While the Ghost is definitely not on our list of favorite cars, it is proof that for the same money you can get something better than the new GT MF4-CS.

2013 Bentley Continental GT V8

For even less money - around $211,000 - you can get the Continental GT V8. Its engine - a V-8 of course - delivers a total of 500 horsepower. The Continental GT sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 198 mph.

Conclusion

The Wiesmann GT MF4-CS is powerful, fast and may offer everything you need to enjoy a great driving experience on both track and road, but it’s just not a sexy car. Luckily for us only 25 units will be made, so there is pretty much no chance to see one on the road.
