The 2012 BMW M5 comes from the factory with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 capable of 560 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. This power catapults the M5 to 62 mph in just over four seconds. With these kind of numbers, there is no need for improvement, right? Well, the folks over a G-POWER would say otherwise.
The tuning company has released this single image of the latest G-POWER tuned M5. With a custom, stainless steel G-POWER exhaust system and a little ECU tuning, the G-POWER M5 puts out 640 horsepower. 0-62 mph is reached in 3.9 seconds while 0-124 mph is reached in only 11.9 seconds. Tuning under the hood is not the only work the company has done to the M5.
G-Power hooked up the BMW with a new fully adjustable coilover kit, bigger brakes, and some nice alloy rims. The 21-inch G-POWER "SILVERSTONE RS" wheels come wrapped in high performance Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, measuring 265/30ZR21 up front and 305/25/ZR21 in the rear. G-Power has also announced that they are working on a successor for the 800 HP 2011 BMW M5 Hurricane RR, which has been clocked at 231 mph.
