In 2013, Mitsubishi have revealed that they will be producing the next Evo. It will take design cues from the PX-MIEV concept. It is also rumoured that the drivetrain will be a hybrid. If it does, it may have a 0-100km/h of 4.5 seconds from the 2.0 litre MIVEC petrol engine. The electric engine will power the front wheels.
As the sketch goes this will be a speedy Evo, but with an added twist. The electric engine also gives the Evo XI a EV mode, giving it low CO2 emissions and a better fuel consumption. But it produces 63hp, matched with the 320hp from the petrol, equals to 350bhp of pure speed.
Handling improvements will be made, with the additions of new tecnology, developed too late for the Evo X, there Active Steering and Roll Control Suspension.
This will change the Evo world and show the Impreza who’s boss.
