Its 2011 and we’ve just seen the passing of the Geneva auto show. With that came new electric vehicles and more green cars to run around. Which is all good but what scared me is that for every good car like say the 700 hp Lamborghini avantador there comes five bad cars. Such as the new line up of the Toyota priuses or all these new odd crossovers that no one can make sense of, like the BMW X6. So what does the future hold for makers such as Porsche and us wondering if the great car brand is going to once and for all yank out the last of its roots and never be known as it once did. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s great that people are striving to make greener more efficient cars for us, but when you take the fun out of driving by making boring cars that are only made to get us from point A to point B, not how we get from A to B anymore. So what do you think the auto industry holds for us in the next five or ten years? Back in the 50s everyone thought that by now we would be driving cars that ran on nuclear energy. What can we expect for tomorrow?
