Nevertheless, Carnivale is hell bent on fighting these charges and has gone to great lengths to seek out other people to write on his behalf to the prosecutor. You can find all of this on his blog, nopromisesafety.com, which, incidentally, is also replete with all of his past exploits, including his daring attempts at trespassing, vandalism, and thievery.

Aside from being one of the most creative and artistic bandits we’ve seen in a long time, Carnivale also masquerades as an ‘urban explorer’ – which, for lack of a better term, is someone who goes to places where most people aren’t allowed to go to. We don’t think that’s going to sit well with the prosecution either.

Maybe if they see the novelty and ingenuity in the “Barrel Monster”, they’d see that Carnivale was only exercising his ‘creative freedom’, albeit in illegal ways. We don’t think the guy’s going to jail for it, just a slap on the wrist and hours of community service teaching young kids the finer parts of designing objects – done, of course, in a safe and legal way.

Then again, that’s just us.
