Video: Hennessey Camaro in action

I watched the video, it was cool and I like the question, what would you do if you have a brand new muscle car...run the 1/4 mile..Although the driver isn’t driving steadily, the car kept its pace very well.

Audi drops 3.2 V6 engine in U.S.

These are actually two different V6’s that are being dropped. The 3.2 liter unit in the TT and A3 is the narrow angle VR-6. The A4 is the only vehicle in the Audi lineup that uses the traditional 3.2 liter V6 to not offer the option anymore. Personally this makes so much sense, as although the V6 makes more horsepower than the 2.0T, it makes less torque.

XFR and XKR promotional video

The editing is good. concept is good. But it does not look so original. I was expecting something more XFRish and XKRish ideas squeezing the the creative juices. But that’s all the available clips we have so for the scoring its interestingly refreshing for the Jag.

Future 1-Series will get three-cylinder engine

That’s the future of supercars. F-1 technology is already making smaller displacements engines with less comsuption. The era of the V12s is closing to the same end as the manual trasmission. Electric cars have 100% torque on tap at any given rev range (lookup: tesla roadster). Slowly but surely, it’ll start sticking. I remember back as early as 10 years ago people mocked and frowned upon DSG or Tiptronic. Now, as few as 10% of cars come out as manual. I think only Porsche still have a 60-40 ratio (manual/tiptronic).

Spyker Peking-Paris will drop V12 engine

Howe did it get its stragest name ever? The name Peking-to-Paris refers to the Peking to Paris endurance rally held in 1907 from Peking (now called Beijing) in China to Paris in France, in which an almost standard Spyker car participated, driven by Frenchman Ch. Goddard. The Spyker car came in second in the rally after a three month drive. Now that’s historical.
