One thing that you have to remember is that Jaguar shakes up its image every once in a while. The original XJ6 was a radical departure from the long-established Mk1 and Mk2 sedans it replaced. Also the difference between the E-Type and the XJ-S was pretty dramatic (although historically, that may be a bad example.)

I just noticed how Bertone’s design really shows the basic features of the praying mantis. Look at the rear front and you will never get a mistake specially on the mouth portion.
