The members of the Motorcycle Design Association clearly agree. They have voted the Ducati 1098 not only the best in its class within the Supersport category, but also the overall best design of 2006, winning this year’s Motorcycle Design Trophy. When the new Ducati 1098 was launched in Kyalami in South Africa, the bike was universally acclaimed by the UK and World press. The Ducati 1098 has been voted ‘Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the Show’ at the 2006 edition of the Milan-based EICMA show. This verdict came from over 24,000 motorcycling enthusiasts who participated in a competition organised by the Italian magazine ‘Motociclismo’, which carried out, as it does every year, a survey among the visitors.
