All 2007 Sportster 883 models are retuned for increased performance, including this most affordable Harley-Davidson model. New cams and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) enable the Sportster 883 to generate more torque at lower rpms, giving the rider greatly improved throttle response and better performance in the normal operating zone. With the addition of ESPFI and reductions in clutch lever and brake effort, the Sportster 883 will provide a most responsive ride. New gauges allow the Sportster 883 rider to better track mileage and the time.
The XL Sportster 883L goes even lower for 2007. Now with a seat height of just 25.3 inches, the 883L features new rear shocks, new front fork springs and damper tubes, new side stand and new foot pegs with feelers. These ergonomics provide precise handling for smaller riders or anyone who enjoys a narrow and agile ride. Like all Sportster 883 models, the 883L features ESPFI, new cams, new gauges and reduced clutch and brake lever effort to help inspire a confident ride.
Harley-Davidson brings the best of its long heritage of street motorcycle design to the new 2006 XL Sportster 1200L model. Blending a low seat height and mid-mount controls with the powerful torque of the rubber-mounted Evolution V-Twin engine, the XL Sportster 1200L adds another exciting option to the Sportster family. The XL Sportster 1200L has a seat height of 26.25 inches, which is 1.8 inches lower than the XL Sportster 1200R Roadster. In addition, the handlebar grips are moved back an inch further than any other Sportster model and a new two-up Badlander style seat provides a comfortable ride. The 4.5 gallon fuel tank allows the XL Sportster 1200L an extended driving range of more than 200 miles per tank. The XL Sportster 1200L is offered in eight color options, including three unique two-tone paint schemes, all with a new 3-D fuel tank graphic.
The muscular profile of the XL Sportster 1200 Roadster make it clear this is the Sportster for performance. Dual front disc brakes and a high-mount tachometer are standard. The high-performance XL Evolution 1200 engine puts out 70 hp and 79 ft. lbs. of torque. Wide, polished handlebars, a 3.3-gallon fuel tank and 13-spoke cast aluminum wheels are classic Sportster style. Laced steel wheels are an option. A new sidestand reduces the effort required to lift the bike off the stand by 40 percent. Offered in eight solid and SunGlo color choices for 2006, with a new tank graphic on select colors and new wrinkle-black engine and covers.
A classy, laid-back performer, the Sportster 1200 Custom features a laced 21-inch front wheel, chrome slotted aluminum disc rear wheel, forward controls, riser-mounted pullback handlebars and the longer, 4.5-gallon fuel tank. The high-performance, rubber-mounted XL Evolution 1200 puts down plenty of smooth power. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are an available option. There are 16 color options offered for 2006, including solid, SunGlo and two-tone designs.
XL 883C Sportster 883 Custom Model Overview
