This video doesn’t look bad at all for a 25-year-old commercial. It’s for the Honda Shadow 1100, but the style is definitely Harley-Davidson. The accent is put on the cruiser’s timeless look and inviting sound, while in what the rider is concerned, sex-appeal marks the spot. The video is actually called “Tell him you have plans,” on youtube but I won’t ruin the surprise for you, so check it out.




Looks to me like this one is much better than most bike commercial nowadays.

Honda has taken the wraps off a new Shadow model that they call RS 750. The bike is addressed to beginners and, with its fuel-injected and liquid-cooled 745cc V-Twin engine producing 42bhp and 45ft lb of torque, goes straight against the Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883 .

Compared to the classic Shadow cruiser, the RS 750 offers higher bars and pegs as well as a low seat height of 737mm / 29in, meaning a more upright riding position as a result of Honda’s strategy to offer all-round riding enjoyment.

Obviously, it is all made possibly by the use of the double-cradle steel tube frame and 41mm forks, but beginning riders will surely appreciate the fat 150-section rear tire that makes the 2010 Honda Shadow RS 750 look like a mean machine after all.

Honda hasn’t yet released the specs sheet for this model, but we do know that the new Shadow RS 750 will have an MSRP of $7799 when it will be available in March 2010. This was also established with the 2009 Iron 883 ($7899) as benchmark. The only sad part about this new Japanese cruiser going against the popular American model is that it will be available only in Metallic Grey.

Expect more information on the Shadow RS as soon as we have it.

Honda America has released the photos and information of their first row of 2010 street models, which includes the Honda CBR600RR and CBR1000RR, the all-new Honda Shadow Phantom as well as the NT700V. In the supersport segment, there’s no revolutionary upgrade, but only engine changes for the CBR1000RR and new color schemes and graphics for both RRs.

While the US market is no stranger to the Honda Shadow and the Shadow Phantom model is nothing more than a black, custom version with a 750cc, fuel-injected engine, the NT700V comes as an entirely new and very interesting entry. A sporty commuter powered by a 680cc V-twin engine? Is this Honda’s attempt to turn the US market towards fuel efficiency, user-friendliness and clean sportbike looks? What happened to the DN-01?

Honda’s Shadow arm extends all the way to the Spirit 750 which is still a classic cruiser only that a bit more muscular and more into street-rod. They use the same V-Twin engine, making the bike perfect for cruising down the boulevards as well as exploring back-country roads, all at an affordable price. So the competition would better be beware of the Spirit!
