After a first teaser image unveiled at the end of June, Kawasaki unveiled today the first official image of the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R race bike. The motorcycle is preparing for a 2-day test at the Suzuka race track in Japan where the bike will prepare for the 2011 World Superbike Championship. A road-going version based on this model will also be unveiled at a later date. It is rumored to come with a more aggressive look, a completely restyled fairing and exhaust, new chassis and new engine that will deliver more than 200 HP. Road going model will feature the usual green ninja paint scheme as with all the previous Ninja models.

However when launched the new ZX-10R will have strong competition on the market (Yamaha YZF-R1, Honda CBR-1000RR, and also the Suzuki GSX-R 1000) so is no wonder that Kawasaki will do its best to improve their motorcycle as much as possible.

The Japanese motorcycle maker Kawasaki is teasing us with the 2011 Ninja ZX10R super bike. According to the first details the motorcycle will receive a complete makeover: a more aggressive look, a completely restyled fairing and exhaust, new chassis and new engine that is rumored to deliver more than 200 HP.

Of course the new ZX10R will keep the same green ninja paint scheme as with all the previous Ninja models.

During the next few weeks, people interested will be able to go to Kawasaki Challenge and discover more about the future motorcycle.

However when launched the new ZX-10R will have strong competition on the market (Yamaha YZF-R1, Honda CBR-1000RR, and also the Suzuki GSX-R 1000) so is no wonder that Kawasaki will do its best to improve their motorcycle as much as possible.

Nobody would want to see an “Altered Rat” unless it’s the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R special owned by Brian Johnson, who is a big fan of the rat bike style. The bike was done in the Altered Chrome Garage using the company’s own parts and it is the only one of its kind that we’ve seen so far.

We have to admit that this is truly an original idea and, in the end, what’s not to like about a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

This thing is like a rolling advert for junkyards, but don’t be fooled in thinking it’s a piece of crap. Imagine seeing this thing pass next to you doing 150mph.

Police patrols are known to have favorite “haunting” spots and this has got to be it for the one in this video simply because of the easy “prey”. Take a look at this inexperienced Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R rider having the time of his life on Mullholland highway near Malibu when he is surprised by the cops during a high speed corner and makes the BIG mistake of hitting the front brake. They say you need to be a certain kind of biker in order to ride a trike and it is not hard to recognize the type as the biking crowd passes along, so hearing about a guy having turned a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R into a trike raises a few question marks regarding to what kind of rider would do that and why. A very special kind of rider let me tell you and also one who wants to have fun and feel a little safer on two wheels.

Simeon Hill is a brit who’s 155mph Kawi trike featuring a custom-built frame, a push-button gearshift system, Akrapovic exhaust, modified axle and differential from a Ford Sierra made it to Trike magazine. Sure, the 17-inch rear wheels with 235 x 50 tires also had much to do with the achievement, but mostly with what our man built it for. So let’s see what Hill has to say: ‘I built this trike to handle. I have turned a few heads and surprised many sportsbike riders on twisty Yorkshire and Lincolnshire roads. It’s taken me on local jaunts, weekend trips and longer trips around Europe, not only keeping up with my friends’ sportsbikes but also giving them a good run for their money.’

Kawasaki produced and sold the Ninja250R for 20 years before considering an upgrade and getting at work to develop a brand new model, the one that was launched a couple of yeast ago and which started a complete frenzy especially among beginning riders. Soon turning into Kawi’s best selling sport bike, the Ninja 250R carries on as a 2010 model year with virtually nothing changed on it, so the only rightful question related to it is: “Will it be the same 20 years from now?”

A wise man once said that intelligence consists in the ability to adapt to new situations each and every time these emerge and it looks that this is exactly what Kawasaki is doing with the Ninja 650R. This is the head of their sports bike lineup and it meets the latest requests in matter of performance, comfort, user-friendliness, reliability and style. It started as Kawi’s response to the need of such a bike on the market and it got much better with time.

Although Kawasaki initially had plans to launch an entirely new Ninja ZX-10R for 2010, their final decision was to stick to what they already had and slightly improve their open class sportbike in an almost unnoticeable manner. The move doesn’t turn the 2010-spec Ninja ZX-10R into a threat for the competition, but this would still have to deal with a more aggressive look and small technical tweaks now characterizing the Green racing motorcycle with headlights.

It is no secret to anyone that Kawasaki’s supersport look didn’t evolve quite as it should have during the past few years and people have even started calling the ZX-6R and the ZX-10R “ugly”. While we don’t entirely agree with that and we should give Kawi credit for repairing its faults starting with the 2010 models, it is also nice to check out how MotoRevue’s Jérôme Vannesson imagines the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R will look like.

This photoshop rendering unveils precisely what the motorcycle press is expecting from the future generation liter bike: angular lines that would reflect a blend of features found on visually attractive motorcycles such as the Hornet, from which it gets the tail and RC8 or YZF-M1 fairing with ZX-14 venting gills. Also, the paintjob is very attractive and still in accordance with the Team Green standards.
