Ducati has confirmed that they will have Casey Stoner’s World Championship winning MotoGP bike on display at this year’s International Motorcycle Show. Alongside Casey Stoner’s all conquering Ducati GP7 will be the World’s first MotoGP Replica for the road - the Desmosedici RR.

Casey Stoner and his Ducati GP7 helped secure the World Championship at the Japanese Grand Prix and have so far taken his race wins to 10 and has scored in all 17 rounds, with just the final round at Valencia this weekend. The GP7 has also helped the team win the Constructors and team Championships and will be the focal point of the Ducati stand.

Whilst the GP7 has conquered the world of racing, the Desmosedici RR will undoubtedly be the ultimate road-legal sporting motorcycle. This will be first time the production version of this bike has been seen in the UK. The concept of the Desmosedici RR was first conceived prior to the 2004 World Ducati Week festival and is based on the GP6, the last of the 990cc MotoGP machines. This limited edition £40,000( ~$82,500 ) production machine is one of the most extreme road bikes ever built and has proven to be true to its description as a real race replica. The first of over 125 bikes are expected to begin arriving in the UK at the end of this year

Also on display on the Ducati stand in Hall 2 of the NEC will be the 1098, the sales success of the year. Other highlights include the acclaimed Hypermotard in a new Black version, the recently launched S4RS Tricolore and current favourites from the Monster, Multistrada and Sport Classic families.
