Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) has increased the basic limited warranty on Kawasaki ATVs from 6-months to 12-months. The new 12-month basic warranty will apply to all 2008 units, plus all 2007 and prior year new Kawasaki ATVs retailed after November 1, 2007. This change reinforces Kawasaki’s position as a manufacturer of class-leading ATVs and reflects a high level of confidence in its products. It also helps dealers distinguish Kawasaki brand ATVs from the competition.

Registered owners of 2008 ATVs will get a letter from Kawasaki informing them that the basic warranty on their units has been increased from 6-months to 12-months. Registered owners will also receive updated product registration cards and warranty certificates.

At any time prior to the expiration of the basic warranty, owners can purchase a Good Times Protection Plan (GTPP) for their Kawasaki ATV. The GTPP will become effective after the expiration of the basic warranty. Owners may purchase a GTPP for 12, 24, 36, or 48 months beyond the basic warranty, all with unlimited mileage. The benefits of the GTPP include Unlimited Mileage Protection, no deductible, no paperwork, and nationwide coverage. This means no surprises. All covered repairs are paid in full by Kawasaki directly, relieving owners of the claim filing and reimbursement hassles. Also, covered repairs can be performed at any authorized Kawasaki dealership in the United States. The GTPP is also transferable to the next owner of the vehicle at no cost. This is added value when it comes time to sell or trade-in that Kawasaki ATV.
