After seeing the incredible fall of Jorge Lorenzo the MotoGP public had little hopes for the Shanghai race in what concerned this pilot, but after amazing everybody with the gold-worth fourth position that it obtained we are now finding out that the injury is more serious than prior considered.

Further analysis to which the Spanish pilot was subjected in Barcelona uncovered the fracture at the right ankle and the rupture of the internal lateral ligament also of the left ankle. So the single fracture at the left leg now seems minor and makes us interpret properly that fourth place.

Being visited by Doctor Xavier Mir, who had carefully checked the situation, Lorenzo would have to remain in absolute rest for at least a week. Even more, the right ankle was immobilized as it could not support the foot on land while the entire left foot was elastically immobilized. Now it can really recover given the fact that the next MotoGP is scheduled on the 18th of May at Le Mans.

We reckon that by that time Jorge Lorenzo will situate on second place in MotoGP with 74 points between Dani Pedrosa (81 points) and fellow teammate Valentino Rossi (72 points).
