James Toseland now suffers of an ankle injury after crashing his 800cc Yamaha in a three-day test session held in Jerez.

Immediately taken to the medical center, the X-rays showed no broken bones, but Toseland had serious complains about his ankle which required medical attention. Interviewed afterwards, the rider blamed the accident on a cold rear tyre:

"I braked early to turn into the first corner with a closed throttle and the back of the bike came round and threw me off.”

"It was almost as though I'd hit a puddle, but the track was clear and it was simply the result of a cold tyre.”

"It's a disappointing end to what has been an otherwise very successful test, but I'm remaining focused on the future and looking forward to the first race in Qatar."

Let’s just hope that James Toseland will be back on its feat until March 9 and ready for Qatar.
