Yamaha continues to expand its range of sport bikes and the main proof for this statement is the fact that the company has trademarked 4 new names – two for the US and Australia, and two for Europe. Judging by all the cues that where leaked until now by the Japanese manufacturer we can expect to all-new, higher-spec models based on the Yamaha’s sporty R1 motorcycle.
Even if the company registered four names, we can expect to only two new models which will have different names for each of the markets mentioned above. The new US trademarks registered by Yamaha are the R1S and R1M, while their European counterparts are the YZF-R1S and YZF-R1M.
For the moment, we don’t have any other details about the upcoming models, but we can expect them to be absolutely mind-blowing, at least as far as high-speed performances and technologies are concerned.
