The Can Am Outlander 1000 X mr is one of the strongest ATVs designed by the company. It is propelled by a 976 cc, V Twin, liquid cooled, SOHC, 8-Valve engine which delivers a maximum output of 82 hp. The unit is fueled by a 5.4 Gallons fuel tank and is mated to a CVT transmission with high, low, park, neutral and reverse gears.
To be able to keep the engine’s power is check, the ATV needed a set of strong brakes. Therefore, it comes with dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers and rear single 214 mm ventilated disc brake with a hydraulic twin-piston caliper.

Always in the Right Gear
Continuously Variable Transmission means the drive shaft is always in the right gear. For ease of use, you can count on the engine braking feature to help slow you down when going downhill.

Cleaner Air to the Engine
The new air box has been reconfigured and placed at a higher, more centralized location for filtering and processing air. The no-tools air box features a dual-room design, capturing dirty air in one portion of the box and clean air in the other before sending it to the engine.

Located in place of the front rack, the Can-Am Outlander X mr’s radiator is kept out of the mud and wears a protective, vented cover, ensuring you’ll be able to enjoy all-day rides in deep goop. The large, efficient radiator offers approximately 22 kW of cooling capacity.
Built with standard features like Gorilla Axle Silverback tires and Air Control Suspension (ACS) to allow performance riding in the deepest mud holes, this vehicle is ready to get dirty.

Eliminates Scrub and Camber Changes
The only independent rear suspension that eliminates scrub and camber changes, meaning the wheels pivot up and down rather than in a butterfly motion. This ensures the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it. Reconfigured for improved traction and optimal transfer of power to the ground.
Industry exclusive, air-controlled suspension that features an onboard compressor to allow the front and rear high-pressure gas FOX Air Assist Piggyback shocks to be adjusted on the fly. Choose between 6 preload levels. Also includes an auxiliary hose to inflate tires.
The Tri-Mode DPS™ features three selectable modes (MIN, MED, and MAX) of steering, depending on rider preference. It is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. Direct Link technology ensures fast response and less kickback. Also comes with Visco-Lok† QE.
Performance Mud Tires and Wheels
Designed by Gorilla Axle for mud riding and racing, these tires were developed to go in the deepest mud holes. Installed on large 14-in ITP SS312 cast-aluminum wheels to give an aggressive look.
Uses the 59-in wheelbase of the Outlander MAX platform for improved performance in the deepest mud.
All DPS-equipped models have Visco-Lok† QE, which has all the features and benefits of the standard quick-engagement Visco-Lok† differential, but with an even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors’ differentials, does not have a speed limiter.
Designed with the rider in mind, everything from the gauges to the aluminum footrests has been strategically placed to offer optimal performance in the mud and tough terrain.
A huge 5.7-gallon water-resistant rear storage box offers industry-leading cargo capacity, and is located beneath the rear cargo rack. The more convenient location means riders can access the water-resistant, sealed storage box even when the rear cargo rack is loaded.
Easy On, Easy Off
The high strength, multipurpose rear rack works with the LinQ quick-attach accessory system, letting you easily install or remove a storage box, rack extension, bags, or other items. Numerous edges and holes improve use with tie-downs and bungee cords. Rack capacity of 200 lb.
These aluminum foot pegs provide added grip while riding in mud.
