The BMW G650GS is a capable all roader designed to deal with any type of terrain with poise. The motorcycle continues the success story of BMW Motorrad’s single cylinder engines and is packed with a capable unit which provides a maximum output of 50 hp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 44 ft-lb at 5000 rpm. The engine is not only strong but is also fuel efficient being rated at only 74 mpg, at a constant 55 mph speed. Moreover, the motorcycle has a pretty low weight, rated at 423 lbs (with a full tank).

To be able to ride over all types of terrains without problems, the BMW G650GS has an impressive spring travel of 6.7" at the front and 6.5" at the rear.

The BMW K 1600 GTL is powered by the most compact and efficient in-line 6-cylinder engine ever installed in a series production motorcycle. The 1,649 cc engine is rated at 160 hp (118 kw) at 7,750 rpm and 129 lb/ft (175 Nm) of torque at 5,250 rpm.

The BMW R1200RT is a pretty capable sport touring motorcycle. Though, BMW considered that it can still be improved even more so they went on and made a few modifications. Therefore the 2012 generation received a new boxer engine with much more torque and new DOHC cylinder heads. The bike has also a fresh cockpit, new shift units, new hydraulic reservoir and handlebar separately mounted and a new audio system.

Compared to the previous model, the new R1200RT is also slightly taller and wider, two attributes that improve the road stability and rider protection.

The BMW R1200RT is also featuring an ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) with damping, spring base and now also spring rate adjustable at the touch of a button. Not to mention about the Integral ABS and hard-shell cases, all offered as standard equipment.

The 2012 BMW F 650 GS is offered with a new engine. The new unit is developed by BMW and Rotax and all it has in common with the old unit are only the five-speed gearbox, the crankshaft and the anti-vibration shaft. Everything else on the engine is new.

The new unit features four-valves, DOHC, liquid-cooling as well as an electronic fuel injection system developed by Bosch and BMW. As far as power figures go, the new engine develops a maximum output of 50 hp at 6,500 rpm and 43.4 ft-lbs of torque at 5000 rpm (6 kg/m @ 5000).

The 2012 BMW F 650 GS keeps the same frame as its predecessor namely a twin-spar frame with a re-enforcing frontal tube made of iron alloy. On the other hand, the wheelbase is 1 mm shorter than the previous one, measuring 1479mm (58.2 in).

The ride is kept in check by front 43mm Showa forks featuring 170mm of travel and a rear monoshock with 165mm of travel. The 2012 650 GS is equipped with the same tires as the last year’s model which measure 100/90 x 19 up front and 130/80 x 17 out back.
